Verizon Gets Low-end Android Device: Motorola WX445

Well, well, what have we here? The carrier notorious for all their high-end DROID phones with a low-end handset in store? Most likely, this will be Motorola’s next Blur featuring phone running Android 2.1. The source tells us that it will have a pretty small screen in the 2.5” - 3” range and the camera will not have flash. I’m guessing that it will be in the 2-3 megapixel range, though no camera specs were revealed. The backing of the phone is rather reminiscent of the Palm Pre, which didn’t feel very expensive in the hand (though this device is keyboard-less).

Apple launches four new iPhone 4 TV commercials

Apple’s trying to take another hit to our soft spot with these new TV ads that revolve around FaceTime. They all mainly consist of a cute situation where a quick conversation is held and then the Apple logo pops up. I really dig the style of the ads, but watching them all in a row can get old. Apple’s really hit the mark here when it comes to inciting consumers on a more personal level, but why didn’t show the “flip to front camera” feature? It’s one of the more interesting features of FaceTime…

Inventor of the Cellphone is still loving his DROID

Yes, Martin Cooper has been carrying around a Motorola DROID in his pocket for about four months and is still loving it. He had previously owned an iPhone but he says that “Android phones are catching up now, and the latest version of the Android phones are every bit as good, if not better, than the iPhone.” — It’s not right for me to argue… he invented the cellphone for god sakes!
