Well, well. After getting the first leaked shots of the Desire HD, we have a video of the 4.3” beast! Specs haven’t been revised but we finally know what the whole exterior of the device looks like. Dual LEDs border the 8 megapixel camera and a bunch of soft-touch areas coat the back of the phone. Though this isn’t necessarily final hardware, I certainly hope HTC makes the back cleaner for the production model. Check out the video for the full walkthrough!

Verizon plans to bring 75% of the US 4G LTE by April 2012 - Also Tablets

Boy Genius Report recently released Verizon’s 2010/2011 roadmap which contained detailed plans for bringing 75% of the US 4G LTE by April 2012, among other things. They’ll also be releasing a “DROID Pro” along with a 7” tablet with a front facing camera. Good news folks! Your hipster co-worker’s green machine won’t fry your ankles — but little did we know, this was a feasible issue at one time. According to science, hybrid cars (like the Prius) give off EMF radiation (much like phones and WiFi) that could damage your body. We have been threatened by health professionals and old people that Cellphones are killing us, and that we need to stop using them — but did you know that your car could be frying your ankles?

Saudi Arabia has decided to hold off on its BlackBerry ban

Saudi Arabia told the kingdom’s telecom operators on Saturday to test a proposed fix to the perceived national security threat posed by Research In Motion’s BlackBerry smartphones, and said it would not ban service if the test was successful — Reuters

I can’t decide whether I want the government to “crack” RIM’s security, and let the folks in Saudi use their phones, or have the government fail, and take away the phones giving the public a chance to have some privacy (and re-enforce the fact that RIM’s security is great).

Yeah, this DROID 2 stuff has been getting a bit old. The latest in leaks of Motorola’s new slider brings us a $199 price tag with your typical 2 year contract and a $599 cost for one without. Oh, and guess what? the original DROID is marked as “out of stock.” Sounds a lot like Verizon is about to launch the phone reeaaal soon. The pricing shouldn’t be too much of a shocker anyways. What other top-tier smartphone isn’t 200 bucks on contract?

Whaddaya know? Just days after Digg stopped public registration on all of their sites to prepare for the onslaught of new users upon the launch of Digg V4 — Digg launches an invite program!

This is a little bit of a pleasant surprise, in contrast to the now bland launch of the new service. Digg has given all Alpha users 5 invites, and we want to give ours away!
