Most stuff shared on Twitter comes from old-school media - Video »
Its odd, but its true — Less than half the stuff shared on Twitter comes from “new-media” like blogs and online forums, and thats a bit surprising considering the fact that Twitter is itself a new-media type service. As nerds, we all have to remember that we make up a small amount of the global population, and we’re the ones who read and share the tech blog stuff — its the majority of the population who enjoy sharing a snippet from the morning paper, or a quote from their favorite column.
Sony Xperia X10 Coming to the US in a Couple of Hours
According to this countdown teaser found on Sony’s website, a black rectangular object is coming in just a couple of hours. Need we really speculate on what this object will be? It is obviously the Xperia X10! Just take a look at the general design of the device! But the biggest giveaway is probably the reflection of the screen: a clear Xperia Android skin. To further support this, expert Photoshoppers have messed around with the brightness and gotten an exact image of the Xperia X10.
iPhone 4 gets Flash (unofficially) - Video
Now, don’t get too excited — this isn’t official, nor is it 100% effective — this is just a really interesting breakthrough made by lovers of the iPhone 4. This is currently an Alpha build, and is still pretty buggy, but since you’ve (hopefully) recently jailbroken your phone, this is sensibly the next step to make. Prepare for cheesy flash games and animated advertisements, on the go! — Note: This hack is going to require some SSH-ing and downloading of .deb files, so be warned — Read Engadgets how to for the iPad (which works just as well for the iPhone 4.
HTC Desire HD and 1.2 GHz CDMA+GSM Slider Spotted In the Wild?
We knew HTC had quite a bit of stuff hidden up their sleeves just waiting to be released. Let’s start off with the Desire HD. With the EVO 4G being quite a success in the US CDMA market, it’s a bit of a no-brainer to launch a GSM version of the device. What many people are calling the Desire HD boasts a 4.3 inch touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera, 1 GHz Snapdragon, and Android 2.2 (basically your typical high-end Android device). But a couple of things stand out: an “integrated aluminum body” and “face tracking.” The aluminum body we’ve heard about before might be something similar to the casing found on the HTC Legend but there doesn’t appear to be any aluminum on the face of the device at all so it might actually be closer to the iPad’s enclosure. Now face tracking is the weird part. There is definitely no front-facing camera on this unit so maybe they just mean face detection for the 720p video recording.

What if Star Wars took place in the 1800's? »
Star Wars is one of the worlds most iconic stories, mostly for the fact that it took place far into the future in a time when calculators we’re all the rage (of all things). It was such a culture shock to the world that any of these things, like Lightsabers, star ships and holograms would ever be possible. Well, prepare for an even bigger shock because you’re about so see what Star Wars would look like if it took place in the 1800’s…
