This should be your next homepage

When it comes to having a homepage, most settle for the only sane option, Google — a webpage that can get you anywhere with a few keystrokes and a snap of the enter key. It’s been that way for years, and you’re quite content with seeing the lego rainbow themed logo every time you load up your browser, but it can be much better.

How Apple destroyed the eBook business for many companies

When you look at Apple and their book business, it’s sort of become a growth on the iOS platform. Even though it’s supposedly a huge part of their iOS ecosystem, they have gone out of their way to not mention it recently and mention of iBooks has been hidden away on the Apple website. For such a revolutionary service on such a popular range of devices in a rapidly growing (eBook) market, you might think Apple would push it a bit harder, but they aren’t. Maybe it’s because they aren’t so proud of what they’re doing…

What do you think will happen to Skype?

So if you haven’t heard, Microsoft just purchased Skype for 8 gazillion dollars and we want to know what you think about the situation.

We all really enjoy what Skype has to offer (chatting with family, friends and co-workers), and it’s enabled lots of us to take the rolls of radio hosts and participate in the podcasting scene.

Now, Microsoft has Skype all to itself and we don’t quite know what’s in store for the VOIP giant, but our best guess is anybodys best guess — Leave a comment and tell us what’s going to happen with Skype.

New Dark Souls trailer hates you already - Video

Demons Souls was our pick for Game of the Year back in 2009, and we’ve been on high alert for any news trickling down about its spritual successor, Dark Souls. This new gameplay trailer released earlier today highlights the endless amounts of ways that the game plans to undoubtedly kill you time and time again. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if people start throwing their controllers after watching this trailer.

Google Music Beta streams your entire music collection online

It was only a matter of time until someone finally decided to step up to Apple and its iTunes platform. During Google’s I/O conference, the search giant announced a new service dubbed Music Beta that won’t specifically be an iTunes clone, meaning it won’t offer an online music store, but it would rather be a dedicated music player that will cross over multiple computers, browsers, and Android devices, and stream your already existing music collection over the cloud. Excited? — Juicy details after the break!

Death Battle: Vegeta vs. Shadow the Hedgehog - video

Sprites battling other sprites in epic combat? Oh ScrewAttack, you know just how to tug at my heart strings. Ever wonder what a battle to the death between two of the most annoying anti-hero’s ever to grace our television sets might look like? Well, I suppose it’s time we find out.

iPad - Pulse Review

Rhythm games are a dime a dozen nowadays, but in the past they were all about the catchiest tunes, precise que’s, and not necessarily the most recognizable artists. Pulse, by Cipher Prime, is an all original game with ideas that haven’t been done before in this sort of space. Sure, we have Tap Tap Revenge on iOS, but it’s child’s play in comparison to the style and class that Pulse oozes every second you spend with it. The iPad has never sounded so good. — Our thoughts on it after the break!
