Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet review

Tablet you say? No, we’re not referring to these popular new iPad devices but rather the input device many choose to use with their PC’s for handwriting and drawing. What makes this particular Wacom Bamboo special is that it recognizes both pen and touch input, allowing it to also double as a multitouch trackpad. With both Mac and PC support enabled, we spent some time testing out the Pen and Touch. — Check out what we thought after the break!

Microsoft readying to buy Skype for $8 billion

First Facebook and now Microsoft, it would seem that Skype is quite the commodity to have! For some time now there have been talks that Skype was ready to move onto bigger and better things, well mostly because they’re in debt some $600+ million dollars (how that happens I don’t know), but a new owner would certainly help make that hole disappear. And it seems that Microsoft has a few ideas with what they could do with the popular communications service. — Details after the break!

The Japanese ghost prank that just keeps on giving - Video

So the ghost in the mirror is quite horrifying by itself but then having Ringu styled girls with long black hair tear through the walls and chase the poor dude was a nice touch. Oh the Japanese, they never cease to amaze me on how creative (and totally screwed up) they can be with their practial jokes.

PSN Update: Free Games, No Deadline, Deal with it

As the days and weeks go by with PSN still down I wonder, will people who bought Portal 2 ever get a chance to enjoy its amazing Co-Op? Will Sony’s E3 press conference be nothing but an announcement as to when the service will be returning? Or will they skim over it and tease a new system just to get over this PR nightmare they’ve gotten themselves into? These questions have no answer but it’s easy to poke fun. Kevin Butler hasn’t shown his mug on tv in a while so we got to entertain ourselves somehow. — PSN update after the break!

Squarespace V6 - Breaking down the official announcement

So, this is version 6 of Squarespace and that’s really all we get so far, some screenshots of random photos and small glimpses of the interface, but does that snuff any of the excitement? Nope. Squarespace version 6 is shaping up to be a driving force in re-shaping web development as we know it, and version 6 could be the first sign of Squarespace breaking into the mainstream, and catching the eyes of entities like AOL blogs, Gawker and Okay Geek of course!

Japan creates mind-controlled cat ears -- it begins

Technology to control things with your mind has so many astounding real world possibilities, however in Japan they use it to create some of the weirdest fetishes known to man. For instance, here’s what a new prototype made by Neurowear looks like; a pair of cat ears that bend to your will with nothing but the power of your mind. — Kawaii-desu after the break!

Blind dude plays Zelda: Ocarina of Time and is awesome

Terry Garret is blind, yes, but he hasn’t let that one detail about him define him. Besides being an Engineer at Mind Studios he also like to play video games. And while most of the time he can figure out 2D games by their sound, playing 3D adds a whole new layer of difficulty. Watch as Terry explains how he plays Zelda: Ocarina of Time without being able to see anything.
