Mass Effect 2 on PS3 Will Use the Mass Effect 3 Engine

Well, this is a little strange. In about a month, Mass Effect 2 is set to head over to Sony’s platform for the first time in the series. Now, considering it’s been almost a year since it’s release on the other platforms, we should expect some improved graphics. But did you know that the game will use the Mass Effect 3 engine? It’s pretty awesome that you can get a glimpse of the “future” of the series if you buy the PS3 version, so it certainly looks to be the definitive version alongside all of the extra DLC on the disc from the get-go.

Mass Effect 2 on PS3 will release on Jan 18th 2011.

PS3 Review - Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

Need for Speed has been a long time staple of the racing genre in video games, and after countless titles that have delved from everything from street racing down to realistic driving settings, Hot Pursuit brings the series back to its roots - back to a time where it was all about the chases between Cops and Racers with fancy cars. — Read our full review after the break!

PS3 Review - Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

After just one year, Ubisoft has pumped out yet another Assassin’s Creed game. Interestingly, they really promoted the new multiplayer aspect but it has a surprisingly fantastic singleplayer offering that improves on every little problem in AC2, while adding way, waaay too much for you to do on top of it.

Xbox 360 Review - Call of Duty: Black Ops

Another year, another Call of Duty. This phrase really sums up almost all my thoughts on the series at this point because not too much has changed. There’s still your crazy over the top, action packed single player along with the already excellent and refined multiplayer you’ve found in the series to date. In my mind however, we’ve gone since Call of Duty 4 without any substantial changes and that’s starting to become a problem.

PC Review - Fallout: New Vegas

Two years after Bethesda adds the third installment to a classic PC franchise, New Vegas sneaks up on us and returns us to the post-apocalyptic lands of the Fallout universe. Trading Washington DC for Sin City, Fallout: New Vegas gives you a ton of bang for your buck and improves many of the aspects originally seen in Fallout 3. Well, except its stability and insane amount of bugs. Those are still here in full force!

PS3 Review - Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Review

Enslaved, a game that seemingly came out of nowhere, could be the sleeper hit of the year. A fantastic and intriguing, original story that keeps the player guessing, complimented with fun and addictive combat and puzzle gameplay ensures it as a must play.

Xbox 360 Review: Halo: Reach

Arguably Microsoft’s most popular series on the Xbox 360, Halo is back for its final installment (or at least the final one with Bungie at the helm) and boy, they’ve really sent it off with a bang. It’s nothing short of the perfect Halo experience for fans of the series - combining multiplayer modes like Firefight, Matchmaking, and Forge, with a tighter and more enjoyable narrative campaign.
