Quick Thoughts: Don't take it personally babe, it just ain't your story

When I finished playing through Christine Love’s newest and free indie title Don’t take it personally babe, it just aint your story, I felt deeply affected and moved by the whole experience. While this isn’t review because it isn’t exactly a game, but more more of a visual novel, I just felt like I should write about the fascinating experience of watching the game and story unfold. — Check it out after the break!

Xbox 360 - Crysis 2 Review

Crytek has prided itself on bringing the highest graphical quality to their games on the PC. While the original Crysis was utterly fantastic to look at, the story and overall structure of the campaign weren’t always on par with its visuals. However, Crytek’s release of Crysis 2, available on consoles as well as PC, is hoping to mesh those fantastic visuals with well polished gameplay to make a masterpiece of an FPS. Battleblock Theater's Story Trailer Could be the Best Thing Ever!

We’re all waiting patiently for another game from Castle Crashers’ creator The Behemoth and lucky for us, the’ve released what I’m calling one of the best intros to a game ever. Honestly it’s pretty amazing and you should check it out immedietly: it features boats, bright neon green sharks and Hatty Hattington. Man, The Behemoth can just take my money now!

PC - Dragon Age 2 Review

Dragon Age: Origins was my favourite RPG of 2009 for good reason; A fascinating story with great characters, strategic combat and almost 100 or so hours of content, Origins captivated me from the start and held my attention right to its glorious end. Dragon Age 2 however, almost feels like a step backwards for the series, with a terrible opening, strange design decisions and needless streamlining of certain aspects of the game that were fantastic to begin with. But even though it isn’t the sequel Origins players were waiting for, it still succeeds at being a much more personal experience with more of the same exciting combat and character development fans have come to love. — Our review after the break!

PS3 - Killzone 3 Review

Killzone 3 has come to shelves with surprisingly little clamour this year, with it almost living in the shadow of its heavily advertised older brother. Still, it’s time for the third installment, and to be frank… it’s more of the same in almost every respect. There are a couple tweaks here and there but for the most part you’re getting exactly what you expect out of this game: a beautiful shooter with some issues which may or break the experience. — Read our review after the break!

Will Battlefield 3 be worth your time?

So, Battlefield 3 just got a proper gameplay trailer and it’s looking absolutely goregeous. It’s apparently pre-alpha and if that’s the case, that’s pretty unbelieveable. The demo, as per usual with these kinds of things, was in an extremely controlled environment, everything perfectly planned to show off the engine, gameplay and sound design. The question, at least to me, isn’t will it be successful, it’s where and how it will be successful.
