Capcom: "Devil May Cry is getting a live-action theatrical film"
Dante is quite the charismatic guy, nabbing himself multiple games spanning over a decade now with the help of pretty much no one but himself. So it’s no surprise that soon when people think Devil May Cry, they might picture in their heads a full-length film. Capcom announced yesterday that the series is being adapted by Screen Gems and will be based off the DMC reboot game that Ninja Theory is working on.
Kyle Warden, the guy responsible for penning the screenplays of Kane and Lynch and Hitman has been attached onto the Devil May Cry film project. No word or announcements of a director, actors, or anything have been made, with the exception that Screen Gems — yep, the same studio whos worked alongside Capcom to bring you those questionable faithful Resident Evil movies — will be the studio behind the film.
And again to reiterate, the movie will be based on the Ninja Theory DMC reboot and not the original classic series, and yes, we know how badly it hurts to know that.
