This is the new Okay Geek

We’d like to welcome you to the best thing we’ve ever created. We’ve been working on this for months in secrecy and we were at one point on schedule to make an official release on Friday, but we had to rush things a tad. Due to un-forseen failures on the internet, we needed to push an early release before the duct-tape peeled off the old site. We’d like to take this time to answer any questions you have and get you in the loop…

FingerFlux lets you feel touch screens before actually touching them -- (Video)

When the iPhone popularized the touch screen it didn’t magically do away with the issues that plagued the technology for years prior. Tactile response is key to being able to type accurately and rapidly on a keyboard. On a touch screen however, it’s a little tougher. Well, no more! There’s a new concept in town of what printing should be like in our touch-based, modern world. And boy, does it make me want to throw my money at my computer screen. — More after the break!

The FPS where you use a camera instead of a gun

The idea of a First Person Shooter is brilliant because it’s so simple. It’s a safe and low-risk Blueprint for game developers to easily add emotion, character and story to a video game. It’s the fabric of most great story driven video games on the market today, but an increasingly overwhelming amount of these titles has the player wielding a weapon, usually being a gun. Now don’t get us wrong, FPS-shooter titles are always the staple of action in the gaming world, but what if we took that exact concept, but looked at it from a different angle… so to speak?

Incredible Cosplay from DragonCon 2011 - Video

The next best thing to seeing great cosplay is watching a video that incredibly captures what is cosplay, and there was an overwhelming amount of awesome cosplays at DragonCon 2011. This video caught our eye in particular (not because of the obviously awesome cosplay), but because of the fact that it really serves the art justice. Awesome video, check out more of their stuff here.
