An interesting turn of events has happened; Sony is pushing back the release of their much hyped portable system, the PS Vita — the PSP’s worthy successor. It was first announced at E3 that the Vita would be coming to North America and Japan this holiday season at two price points: $249 for WiFi, and $299 for the 3G model. Has the recent, dramatic price cut by Nintendo to their 3DS system thrown a wrench into the Sony machine? — More after the break!

Nokia is one of the largest global companies in the world, and they have been falling behind in the smarphone market, and they haven’t had many compelling, breakthrough products for the past while. Apple, Google, Microsoft and RIM own the smartphone market in the US, and Nokia has decided to take a brute-force approach with their new Nokia N9.

ASUS Padfone - A tablet that swallows your Phone (running Windows 7?)
Okay, so this idea is brilliant for a few reasons: One is not having to carry a phone around all the time, but still have your phone if you need it, and another is being able to upgrade the tablet simply by grabbing a new phone — but there are some really confusing details in the video. How are we going to run Windows 7 on a phone (note IE8 at the 1:40 mark) correctly and also, what is the point of using Windows 7 on ARM in the mobile space? We already know it’s a horrible choice for tablets, and it would be torture to work it into a phone.

HTC's new video for the Flyer Tablet
When you see the video, you really think about HTC as a company. They’re not copying Apple’s way of doing a tablet (although Apple’s buzzword “Aluminum Unibody” was thrown around) HTC is focusing on new innovations and seezing oppertunity in new areas. The note taking looks amazing, and the fact that the tablet doesn’t require a stylus is awesome — but the addition of a stylus really makes for some awesome interaction. Lets see if the HTC Flyer has what it takes to touch the feet of the iPad.
Concept camera of the future WVIL - Video
When it comes to photography, it really boils down to having a decent camera and a good eye. Sure you can get away with an iPhone 4 or a consumer camera, but if you really want to do some real photography, you’ll need a good lens and a great camera. But when you reach that level of professionalism, you lose something valuable and exciting — ease of use, creative tools and social sharing right from the camera. This new concept camera called the WVIL seems to mix professional photography with all the fun and convenient consumer features, lets take a look…
