How close are we to Star Trek technology? -- (Infographic)

It’s obvious to see that many of today’s technological wonders were inspired by the concepts that were thought up in the early days of cinema and television. One of the most iconic programs to feature high-tech was none other than Star Trek, William Shatner and all. You could say our modern day mobile devices might have directly come from the communicators seen while our favorite space crew traversed new plantery terrains. But what else has come, or will soon come from the world of Star Trek to our own? — More after the break!

Adventure Time does Pokemon with farting jokes -- (Video)

Arrested Development gets new season, feature film soon to follow

The chicken taunt, never-nudes, and cousins in love, these are just but a few of the highly controversial topics discussed on the show Arrested Development. Okay, okay, so maybe they weren’t that controversial but they were laugh out loud funny. And I don’t mean “lol” funny, I mean like the kinda funny where you are genuinely making noises with your faces in a positive manner. Well, officially the series will be making a return in the form of a new season and a feature film. — More after the break!

Amazon's Kindle Fire will sell well with parents who always buy the wrong thing -- (SNL Video)

The Amazon clownin’ starts at the 0:48 second mark, but with that alluring $199 price tag it’s almost certain that parents will opt for the “generic” version of the iPad — not that owning a Kindle can be considered generic — but hey, it doesn’t sport that shiny Apple logo that’s become the status symbol for kids nowadays.

The internet has been breached by CN's MadTV -- (Video)

As someone on reddit just posted, “this just aired on children’s tv, and I think the internet has been breached”. Yes, sir… so it would seem. MadTV on Cartoon Network isn’t a stranger to going against the grain of mainstream entertainment, and this “Meme’s, meme’s everywhere” skit seems to prove just that.

Jimmy Kimmel pays tribute to Uncle Frank after his passing - (Video)

I attended the Jimmy Kimmel show a few years back, and it just so happened that it was the episode where Uncle Frank was attending prom with his ex-wife (which is actually featured in this tribute). Seeing him reminded me of how happy-go-lucky I would like to be if I ever got to his age. Unfortunately, Frank passed away earlier last month but Jimmy sent him off the right way with a laugh out loud tribute.
