    E3 2011 -- Final Fantasy XIII-2 gets new characters and gameplay trailer

    We were less than impressed when the original Final Fantasy XIII came out, but the one thing we couldn’t deny was the fast-paced Paradigm Shift battle system. So we’re happy to see that’s it making a return into this completely unwarranted sequel. There are also a couple of new faces this time around, primarily Noel, the Kingdom Hearts wannabe seen holding Serah’s hand the entire trailer. So uhh, what happened to Lightning? 

    Final Fantasy XIII-2 / Winter 2011 - 2012 on PS3, 360

    There will be no pop songs in this direct sequel to what may be the most criticized Final Fantasy ever released, and its director, Motomu Toriyama wanted to make it apparent that this itteration will “exceed” the original in every way.
