EVO 4G gets OTA Update - already?
You just have to love HTC; On the eve of what is arguably their biggest launch to date, they already have an OTA (Over the Air) update in the works for Sprint’s EVO 4G according to the good folks over at AndroidCentral.com. There seems to have been a bug in the software that causes the phone to crash and data not save to the included SD card. And just to prove how awesome HTC is, they say, “we expect to have a software solution available very shortly that will be automatically pushed to phones over the air.” Phil Nickinson, of AndroidCentral.com, says he’s “ only experienced this a few times, and a reboot clears it right up, but it’s still a pain.”
Good show HTC! Though you could always say this kind of bug shouldn’t have existed in the first place, but you could also say that this was some sort of Machiavellian scheme by HTC to close root access to the hottest device NOT from Cupertino. All in all, as an early adopter, I’m glad to see I’m taken care of here.
