Geoff Keighley asks every single question you wish you could ask Nintendo about Wii U - (Video Interview)
When Nintendo finished up their press conference yesterday they left most of us with a ton of unanswered Wii U questions. There was no information whatsoever spoken of the actual console unit, its specs, or even its online capabilities, with all attention being directed toward the new touch screen controller. Gametrailer’s Geoff Keighley however, got a chance to sit with Nintendo of America’s President Reggie Fils-Aime and ask pretty much every question you wish you could ask him.
Part 1 / Wii U’s Online capilities
Part 2 / Wii U third and fist party support, Wii co-existence
Part 3 / Wii U console unit
Keighley’s got a tough sack on him going toe to toe with a big Nintendo giant like Reggie. But even with some very tense moments, he was able to squeeze a lot of information about Nintendo’s next big hardware leap — stuff like no Blu-ray, a competative price point, and even why they were so mum about Wii’s 2011 line up aside from Skyward Sword.
Why couldn’t Nintendo just have said this sort of stuff right from the get go? I’m sure developers, not only fans, would benefit from hearing that 1080p, high capacity discs, and robust online infrastructure is important to Nintendo Wii U’s success due to its ability to now support those types of features. Well here’s hoping we do get a “Lord of the Rings type Zelda” in the future.
