High-res Photo of Mars surface taken from 35 Million miles away
If anything will amaze me for my entire lifetime, it will be the wonders of space. It’s like an endless playground for humans to test their limits of technology, understanding and teaching. We have little idea what’s out in the endless distance, but every second we get to enjoy the wonders that we’ve discovered is a joy, and now we can admire the surface of Mars without even getting close. This photo was captured in January 2004 by NASA and is the first high-res photo of Mars in history.
Reddit has an awesome thread discussing this photo (and NASA/Mars)
