Motorola DROID Pro Review
We’ve all seen the Motorola DROID Pro by now, and we’ve almost certainly thought at some point, “wow what a swish piece of hardware.” But just how “swish” has the DROID Pro turned out to be? Well, in a recent review posted by the folks over at BGR all your questions have been answered.
For a phone that’s aimed at business customers the DROID Pro has left reviewers in a quasi state of uncertainty. Jonathan S. Geller (more commonly known around the Internet as Boy Genius) has stated that “our opinions of the Motorola DROID Pro have flip flopped in between us [them] not really considering the handset as a viable choice for an Android business device.” Interestingly enough in the same review he later goes on to state that the DROID Pro could — at least in the short term — wipe out RIM’s device sales on Verizon Wireless in the US, which, as a cheeky side note: wouldn’t be all that hard considering the slew of bad devices they’ve put out as of late. But more importantly we get the impression the DROID Pro is kind of a double edged sword. On one hand it’s a good device not really suited for the market its been placed into, yet at the same time its clearly coherent enough to go toe to toe with the king’s of business smartphones, the BlackBerry.
Business handset aside the DROID Pro is still an amazing device to look at, not to mention its made even better considering its a global phone. That’s right, its one of the first global Android phones on the market today; not to mention its also one of the first Android phones on the market with a full portrait orientation QWERTY keyboard.
As a final decision if you’re in love with your BlackBerry but want something else, perhaps an Android device? Then we’d recommend the DROID Pro. However, (and BGR mentions this in their review) should you be looking for a decent Android phone, plus one that offers global support, the Motorola DROID 2 Global would be the better route to take. Sorry Motorola but your Blur infused device falls short in certain areas. Read the full review at our source link below.
