Rumor - iPhone 5 event happening October 5th

We know it’s coming. We can just about taste and smell it. The iPhone 5 is right around the corner but when will it be announced and when will we be able to get our greasy little hands on it? That’s the million dollar question, especially with camp Apple staying mum on the subject. But that hasn’t stopped a number of sites from reporting alleged rumors about its design, new features, and possible release. And guess what? We got ourselves a new rumor to chase! — More after the break!
Pocketgamer.co is reporting that their inside sources are pointing to October 5th being the critical date for the unveiling of the new Apple handset. Now PocketGamer isn’t particularly known for breaking news, but hey… it’s the best we got after not hearing anything for so long.
“This broadly fits with the movement of recent rumours, which peaked with a - since proven erroneous - 21st October release date, bought forward to a October 15th date, according to Orange CEO Stephane Richard.
The symbolism works well too: iPhone 5, iOS 5, October 5.”
