Inside the Windows 7 Cafe - Have fun Paris!

This is a very different way to promote an operating system, but it is working! Paris may be the real place to be for out and about Windows fans, as it can now claim the only Windows Cafe in the world as its own alongside all those other little tourist attractions you might be interested in.

We heard about the Windows 7 Cafe earlier this quarter and now its a reality. There is free WiFi :D and there is lots of munchies and drinks. Take a sneak peek inside the Cafe over at Le Journal du Geek.

Inside the new 27" iMac Complete teardown - Looks nice on the inside too!

It seems impossible that the iMac has the power of a gaming PC in something the size of a very thin monitor, with no heat issues and under 32 pounds. According to Apple, its all smoke and mirrors but the crafty guys over at iFix it have literaly torn the iMac to bits, in the name of Science!

Now we must warn you, this could make most iFanboys wimper at seeing their beloved iStuff destroyed, but all-in-all, it is very exciting. If you are not yet familiar with the new iMac, you can read more here. You can see the complete teardown over at iFix it, and it just goes to show, the inside of the iMac looks just as good!

Ballmer confirms Blu-Ray coming to Xbox 360

Gizmodo does an exclusive interview with Steve Ballmer and what does he do? Well, he spills the beans on Blu-Ray coming to the Xbox 360. The DVD drive in the system won't be replaced in the console itself, but rather be made as an accessory. His reponse to the actual question:

Well I don't know if we need to put Blu-ray in there—you'll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories.

                                                                   -Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO

I knew it'd happen but I didn't think Microsoft would come out and just say it so directly.

Motorola Droid coming very soon - it's going to kill us all

The Motorola Droid has been shaping up to be another iPhone Killer, after the "Failure" of the Pre, G1 and the BB Bold (by failure we mean 'failure to beat the iPhone'). If this thing does what it says it is going to do -- which most people are very confused about -- it is going to be at least on-par with the iPhone. These promotional mailers were sent out to people and they are going to scare kids!

Now we all know this is a phone, but the viral ad campaign has lead us to believe that this thing is going to kill us all :O -- Just take a look at the packaging. In a world of Don't, the Droid does. Is Judgment Day fast approaching for the iPhone? We’ll know at the end of this month.

Google social search - When is it coming?

There’s a shiny new Google product called Social Search that is launching in Google Labs. This is a new feature that allows you to see results from people in your social network like Facebook, and Twitter. This works by using your Google Profile. If you fill it out with the other social networks you’re a member of, such as FriendFeed or Youtube, Google will scan who you are connected to and give you results based on the information from your friends.

New 2010 iMac, Macbook, Mac Mini, and Magic Mouse | Ep. 18

In this episode we have Nick Mahar via Skype, we have Will Chase in studio and of course we have Brandon Davenport. We are all amazed by the new stuff Apple released yesterday and we are super duper excited to see that they have lowered the prices and at the same time made the stuff much better!

We are a little confused about the Magic Mouse, and the battery situation with the new MacBook, but overall we are satisfied with the final products. We think Apple is realizing that there is quite a meaty margin in low cost consumer products, and considering that the new MacBook now starts at $1000, and the new Multitouch Magic mouse is only $69
