Gallery: Motorola Droid shows up for some wicked pics

Today the Motorola Droid showed up for some really nice pics taken by yours truly BGR. The cool part is, this is real and ready for production.

iT can to everything the iPhone can't do, according to the commercial and it is gearing up to be the next "iPhone killer" (oh how origional).

It is the official brainchild of Google, Verizon and Motorola and has been under wraps for the past while until some guys from Verizon showcased it on the red carpet.

It looks like a mix between a iPhone, Palm Tungsten E and a Zune HD. Its very nice looking, and this thing may have Apple cornered, in terms of features. With a reported, powerful OMAP3430 processor, 5 megapixel camera, slideout QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, all housed in a super-compact package and running Android 2.0.

So enjoy the gallery:

Apple Tablet confirmed by drunk Apple employee - Good job Kevin

For those of you who don't know Kevin Rose, he is the founder and site architect of Digg, and a co-founder at Revision3 and Pownce. For many of you people who follow him on twitter hopefully caught his special tweets last night. It's not much unless your an Apple freak ready for a tablet!

While at the bar he met a female employee of Apple who lead on that their IS a tablet coming out soon but, Apple isn't calling it a tablet. Here is his exact tweet via Twitter,"Omg just met a drunk girl from apple "no apple tablet coming... well, we wouldn't call it a tablet" haha leak!!"

Now it's not offcial and we have all heard it but if it's not a "tablet" hopefully it is something like a giant IPhone!

Video: Motorola "iDont" Droid Ad - Direct hits at iPhone

This is the new TV spot for the Motorola Droid, the brainchild of Google, Verizon and Motorola. It is rumored to include a powerful OMAP3430 processor, 5 megapixel camera, slideout QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, all housed in a super-compact package and running Android 2.0.

The sad part about this commercial is that it looks more like an ad for a horror flick than a smartphone. Nobody will know what the heck that commercial is for. The commercial starts out highlighting things that the iPhone can't do -- no Background apps, no physical keyboard, no open software delvelopment, un-accessible battery among other things -- and using Apple's trademark black text on white background.

USB Prank Device - Your Office will hate you

Oh dear god. We know the office can be a boring and draining place, but when the IT guy asks if he can "email some files real quick" and pluggs this into your computer, you are screwed. This is by far the best way to wreak havoc on your office, and ensure that your co-workers will hate you.

This little stick of joy has many functions to make sure your victims PC is totaly un-usable. Once plugged in, the unlucky PC that it's attached to will have its Caps Lock enabled and disabled at random, see garbled text splattered about quarterly reports and be victim to uncontrollable, erratic cursor movements.

This does not take it too far though, the Enter key is never activated, and open windows, and programs are never closed to ensure it is all in "good fun". The gizmo starts at $33 (£19.99) and it will be back in stock soon!

List of Old School Technologies That Need To Die

The great thing about the IBM PC platform and Intel's x86 was that it was designed to be backwards compatible. Except some of these things that computers are still compatible with are either holding advancement of computers back, or nobody uses them anymore and nobody cares. So let's bang this list out!

Panasonic robots can help us - Dish washer, Scooter and wheelchair bed

This is the day when Robots actually become useful, not a novelty. They have always been considered a research tool, or a way to further our knowledge in technology, but this takes it to a whole new level. This is when they can actually do tasks that are relevant to actual needs. We are not saying these are the first of their kind, we just think this is another great example of robots that actually do stuff that we need done, or that can make it easier for us.

Revolution OS - The Documentary about Linux and Open Source

Ever wondered where Linux came from? What about the words "Homebrew" or "Open Source"? I'm a Windows guy. I always have been, but that's not to say I haven't tinkered around with other operating systems before though, because I've tried, and used, Linux based stuff since near a decade ago. But anyway, let's not stray away from the point. The history behind the movement responsible for alternatives to Microsoft are heavy under cobwebs of bad clothing styles, long beards, and even hippie like idealism.

It's quite a journey, to say the least, which I just finished experiencing in this gem of a documentary called Revolution OS. You can check it out on Netflix streaming (Xbox 360 ftw), or here, on Youtube.
