Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - "No Russian" mission Video

What do you think of the “No Russian” video? Have you seen it yet? There’s a link to it at the bottom of the page, just in case you’re interested. So what happens in it? Oh, nothing much. You play a CIA agent infiltrating a Russian terrorist group and then unload on unsuspecting civilians waiting in an airport. Nothing big really.

There hasn’t been too much backlash against the game or its content, which I find strange and surprising. You’d think Bill O’Reilly would be doing a piece about how it’s Un-American or something on Fox News. Maybe we’re finally entering an age where video games can are seen as something different than a kids only medium. Far too many books and movies have had similar scenes play out in them and no one says a word, but when something that crosses the line is present in a video game, well you know what happens.

It’s understandable though; Video games since their inception have attracted the youth, and so there’s no wonder why parents have always been a bit weary of what’s in them. The truth of the matter is that Rated M games are not intended for people under 17 in the USA, and these rules need be respected by the parents themselves.

Don’t like something in a game? Well, then don’t buy it for your children.

Believe it or not the gamers of decades past have indeed grown up, but no where did it say that had to stop playing games. COD:Modern Warfare 2 is for those players. A game with a message about the atrocities of war, but with gameplay that makes it a very enjoyable experience - for those of proper age.

Sony Rewards New Customers & Shuns Old

Sadly Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which was filling every movie theater across the nation including my city IMAX, won't be coming to DVD and Blu-ray until just after the holidays. Fortunately for you Sony TV and Blu-ray player owners, you can stream the movie for a full 24 hours for free a month before it comes out. Starting December 8th, you can stream the video in full 720p with full controls. Here is the downside, it's only free for new customers and for old well you can still get it, it's just going to cost you. Sony will extend the offer to existing customers so long as you don't mind paying $24.95 for the one time 720p rental when you can buy the movie a month later with special features and 1080i for the same price!

Videos - New DROID commercials better than ever

These commercials will make a man out of you, or a robot. Verizon and Motorola strike back once again, but not with Independance day bombings, but with a very informative and guytastic new set of ads. Anyone with an ounce of testosterone will love these ads. In a world of doesn't, DROID claims to do stuff. Videos after the break!

You can get Modern Warfare 2 For £9.99

It's hard to believe isn't it? Well, it is true HMV are offering Modern Warfare 2 for just £9.99; but there is a catch. In order to get this offer you must trade one of these 3 games Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Forza 3 or Tekken 6. However, if you don't want to trade-in anything Sainsbury's (a supermarket for those that don't know) are offering it for £26 on all platforms. You can't grumble about that.

Video - Touchscreen iMac and MacBook Demo

Just when we thought it was safe to say "I have the latest Apple product and there is nothing more awesome than it", it all falls apart -- in a good way. The snazzy little company with the unfortunate name of Troll Touch, have announced more of their award-winning touch screen kits for the 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs as well as unibody MacBooks. Everybody has always wanted a huge 27" tablet on steroids. Prices for the iMac kits themselves start at $1099, or you can order new machines with the kits pre-installed starting at $2299. Delivery slated to begin before December 1, 2009. Video after the break [...]

Assassins Creed 2: Hands on Gameplay with the successor

Assassins Creed was one of those games for graphics whores. The gameplay was beautiful, fluent and well made but it felt like the game's ambitions were far greater than what the developers were actually able to create, leaving an empty spot in our hearts. Assassins Creed 2 is like a re-birth of the franchise, its almost not a sequel, its a successor. Continued [...]
