Could HTC's rise to smartphone-fandom be slowly ending?

Since the Android boom began, one smartphone manufacturer has led the pack, surpassing other OEMs with superbly manufactured wares and a highly robust custom user-interface. Taiwanese company HTC has seen nothing but rising profit margins and sales since adopting Google’s mobile operating system three years ago. Yet despite this profound success, the company has expressed that it expects little in the way of record breaking sales headed into the final quarter of 2011. The average selling price of current HTC smartphones is on a steadily declining slope, but why? — More after the break!

Disconnect T3ch - Smartphones are your biggest distraction

It’s crazy to think that the iPhone 4, released in 2010, is as powerful as the full-on iMac computers of 2000. The scale of computing power at our fingertips is astounding, but the hardware and specs are nothing compared to the amount of interconnectivity seen on today’s social networks and mobile platforms like Twitter would make anyone’s head hurt. However, it’s these always-on services that provide 24/7 conversations that continuously keep us connected and distracted away from the very real world around us. — More after the break!

AT&T will open at 7AM on iPhone launch day, hand out "awesome-o" shirts

With iPhone 4 launch day right around the corner, there’s only one question left to ask: “What’ll you be wearing?” If you’d said an “awesome-o rainbow coloured AT&T shirt” you’d be correct. Should you rock up to any AT&T owned retail location on iPhone 4 launch day you’ll be given a limited edition AT&T t-shirt, unfortunately, from what we’ve gathered, it’ll still cause you to drop calls. If launch day apparel isn’t all that appealing to you, Engadget’s reporting that AT&T stores will be opening at 7AM, and new customers will be limited to a maximum of one device — let that be a warning Apple fanboys, ok?

Something we do at T3ch H3lp

T3ch H3lp Lite feed has undergone a bit of a face lift, even though it has only been in action since last month. The reason is, here at T3ch H3lp we don't believe in sitting around and being satisfied with "good" because if you live in that mind set, there is no will to get better. In an ever changing world of technology and the open web - standards change, new social trends emerge and ideas come to life - every hour.

We are a technology blog and we believe in not just being a news source, or place to find content - we see our site, our foundation we have built as part of the content. We are a new breed of technology blog, and we hope to impress, inspire and help.

That is something we do at T3ch H3lp

Minimalism in t3ch: Simplify your Needs & Value your Gaming Experiences

Pic by gnackgnackgnack

I'm a huge gamer. It's been my main pastime for years ever since I was a wee lad, but as I have become an adult I've come to realize that those games don't come cheap. Next gen systems, new games, DLC, it all can hit your wallet pretty hard if you aren't mindful of your spending habits. Knowing how to spend, when to spend, and where to spend to satisfy your gaming need are all important things every gamer should thoroughly be versed in.

But before I delve into the ways on how to save your money, why not let's take a look at why you're buying these games in the first place.

Look at these questions and ask yourself them:

How often do you buys games? Do you go out and grab any game that peaks your interest, or do you research before laying down the cash? And what about those games that you've finished and then set on the shelf, never to played with again? Are they still earning their keep or have they long been forgotten? What did you do to earn the money you spent on to buy your games? Was the trade off of the money earned for the game bought an even trade?

People may think this is taking it a little too deep but when you look at it these are all valid points that should be considered.

3D TV Is Pushed Down Our Throat At CES

The big thing this year at CES has been 3D. Sure, it's cool and all, but I still haven't seen any 3D that has made me say: "Wow! I need that right now!" All the big companies, Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, and more have announced a high end 3D television but none look that impressive to me. In an earlier post, at the 3D test at a Cowboys NFL game, many people didn't want to put 3D glasses on and others complained it gave them headaches. Personally, I ask why would they care to watch the game on the jumbotron in 3D when you they were physically present at the game? That is beyond me.
