Haier's Netbook that Doubles as a Tablet and is under $500

HaierX220 Netbook/Tablet

Now here's something that if I had the money, I would buy immediately. It may not be as stylish or as good looking as some of the concepts and designs for the iSlate, but Haier is pulling no punches with this one. And at a price point of well short of $500 it's more than affordable for what it does.

Haier X220 Netbook

Rotatable display that folds unto itself to become a tablet, virtual keyoard, 10.1" display with a resolution of 1024x600, Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1GB/2GB memory, 160GB/250GB hard drive storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 3 in 1 memory card reader.

Price: $429 | Release Date: later 2010

Stay in Shape and Rock Out at the Same Time w/ Samsung's MyFit

Samsung MyFit

We all have iPods that we can take jogging with us; that's if you run of course. But does your iPod measure your body fat, double as a pedometer, and gauge your stress levels? Yeah, I don't think so. This handy little device looks great, and it's UI is simple and easy to navigate.

What I love about the MyFit is that there's no click wheel or touch screen to fool around with; just old fashioned button pressing which is best when you are in the act of motion. You can listen to music, write down what you ate for breakfast and account for those calories, and easily keep track of all your workouts.

Samsung MyFit

320" x 240" display, 40 hrs of audio playback - 5 hours for video, 8/16 GB storage, FM Radio, measurements: 50 x 101 x 9.22 (it's small), and it comes in either black or white.

Price: N/A | Release date: First half of 2010

It's not a Tablet; it's not a Netbook; it's MSI's Dual Notebook

MSI Dual Notebook

MSI had a pretty sweet set up, but this thing caught my eye right away. I couldn't get my hands on it since it was behind some glass, obviously an early prototype, but I did manage to come away with some info:

MSI Dual Notebook

Runs Win 7, uses a virutal keyboard, offers an e-book experience, 160GB storage, 10hr. battery life, resolution can be set to 1024 X 600, has 2 usb ports.

Price: The $500 price range | Release Date: Possibly Winter 2010

Documentary: Inside TWiT - behind the scenes

Leo Laporte and TWiT are the main reasons for us at T3ch H3lp to have a podcast. The TWiT team changed podcasting forever, and it all started with one man, Leo Laporte, the father of next-gen podcasting. His concepts of marketing a brand are brilliant, and is methods indulging an audience of hundreds of thousands are staggering. This gem of a documentary takes us behind the scenes, inside the TWiT cottage, and explains why and how this all happened. Truly inspiring stuff.

Gizmodo Plays Another Mean Prank At CES

For those who haven't seen the video (like me until now) Gizmodo a few years back got ahold of some TV-B-Gone clickers that turns off most TVs. The guys at Gizmodo decided to try them out during events, press conferences, and other little things around CES. They felt it was hilarious, which it was, but at the same time was very mean to do. The video above shows Gizmodo's video of the event. Apparently Gizmodo was fined or something because of it but thats not stopping them this time.

Find out what prank Gizmodo has this year...

Netflix has "Excellent" chance of being on Wii

Recently at CES, CEO Reed Hasting says that the chance of Netflix on Nintendo is "excellent". Their is a possibility of Netflix not coming to the Wii but coming to Nintendo's next-gen product. For us Wii owners, this is a good thing because it's just one more system I can watch my Netflix off of. What ever happens I'm sure that Nintendo will have Netflix on one of their systems soon.

Planes have always been cool to fly around on Christmas day or when out at a park with the family. This awesome little Star Wars replica plane could easily be the coolest looking yet. Here's a video of our friends at Wired.com showing it off in all it's aerodynamic glory.
