New Smartphones will have Dual core Qualcomm Processors

Ever since the first Qualcomm smartphone, our minds have been blown. For instance, the Nexus One is one of the fastest smartphones available, thanks to its 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Hell, the Nexus is faster than the "Super computers" that rendered Star Wars Ep4.

But now they are ready to make smartphones faster then the desktop PC's of 2001. The new Qualcomm dual-core 8X72 is a monster inside of your phone, which uses two Scorpion cores to achieve 1.5GHz, and can handle 1080p video. The chip will be available, along with a 1.3 Ghz version this year.

Apparently this is a yearly tradition at CES for Adam Frucci showing off the "White Guy Dance". Also included in the video is a nice advertisement for Intel processors.

Mind blowing Syndiant and Foryou High-Res Mini projector

There have been a few pocket projectors at CES 2010, but none of the pocket projectors can pump out the pixles like this one can.

Syndiant and Foryou have now announced a new device that has a major resolution upgrade. It still is a prototype, and it hasn't been announced that it will be available to the public any time soon, and pricing has not been announced yet, but this is still unbelievable.

It can spit out images and video at a resolution of 1,024 x 600 using Syndiant's SYL2061 panel (pictured to the left), and it still fits in a shirt pocket.

No more details have been heard, but it is a sure thing that this could be the craziest pocket projector yet! [Engadget]

Video: Boxee Box interface Demo - CES 2010

You have already checked out (or addicted to) Boxee and now you have another reason to fall in love all over again. Box is Boxee's new sub hardware/software mix of awesome featuring their new QWERTY keyboard remote and slick revised interface.

...we've got to say we're incredibly impressed -- the interface was lightning fast, the remote's keyboard felt great, and we're liking the Facebook / Twitter integration, which mines your feeds for videos posted by your friends and displays them on the home page.

Nilay Patel | Engadget

So as you can see Boxxe is really pushing social integration and aggregation. It will launch in Q2 for a nice under-$200 price point, and there'll be tons of content partners at launch.

CES 2010: iType - Full Size Keyboard for your iPhone

Our prayers to the iGods have been heard and now our wishes have come true, as advertised! Ion Audio has revealed its iType iPhone keyboard at CES, and Engadget can confirm that it does indeed work as advertised. Once your iPhone gets comfy in the slot holder, you are free to type like you would on your PC.

Unfortunatly, since the iPhone is closed source, you need to use the iType app to work with the hardware, and then copy and paste your text from the app to your email, notes or safari. If you are a journalist on the go, or some sort of ninja blogger, this is the perfect choice for you.

Video: E-Ink is old - Pixel Qi Transflective LCD Is Better

E-Ink has been all the rage because it is the selling point of every E-reader, which is a hot product at CES. No strain on the eyes, no glare and low power consumption make it an easy choice when it comes to reading, or maybe typing on a screen. This is one example of Pixel Qi's new transforming displays. One screen that's both a bright full color LCD, like we are used to, and a reflective E-Ink quality display for reading in light. This is the thing we never knew we wanted so bad!

Even though it is completely mind blowing, the Pixel Qi's current form is nowhere near perfect. When viewing LCD mode, the colors look great from head on, but the viewing angle seems more limited, and its not the brightest screen out there. Once it did a snappy switch to the electrophoretic reflective mode, its just as crisp and easy to read as the kindle. You can do anything in this mode as well, including watching a video which is like watching a movie on a grey piece of paper (if you can imagine that). Although this isn't a perfect product yet, it is clearly showcasing the next step in "Comfort" reading right on your lappy screen.

Motion Control on the PC!?

PC hardware developer Razer, makers of some pretty amazing gaming mice, keyboards and other gaming accessories, have just announced that they will be teaming up with Valve and Sixense to produce the “Razer Sixense Ultra Precise Motion Controller.” What does this mean for PC gamers? You’ll get motion control on your system! Yay?

The controller has “ultra-precise one-to-one motion sensing controllers that use electromagnetic fields to track precise movements along all six axes." Apparently, It can track it’s orientation within one degree and detect its positioning down to one millimetre. It’s also going to be compatible with all the current and future PC games that come to the market.

This newly announced technology is being shown off at Valve’s CES booth, where you can play Left 4 Dead 2 on the PC with an unfinished version of the controller. Their Software Development Kit is already reported to be on Steam as well.  Check out the video (above) to see how it’s looking.

So do you want to see motion control on the PC? Or do you think it’s going to be as gimmicky as the Wii?
