Bill Gates Joins Twitter - World Stops to Acknowledge It

Microsoft Bob joins the Twitter nation. Wanna know how I found out about? Around 5 people I follow tweeted all around the same time that the news broke. I find that interesting.

A few moments later I thought I'd check out Bill's twitter feed; see if he ate anything interesting for lunch or something. I was a little shocked when I saw his most recent tweet at the time (his 4th all time) was addressed to @ryanseacrest.

Mr. Gates already has 150,000+ followers in less than one day.

iPhone 4.0 OS Rumors Fly - BREAKING

Tech site, BoyGeniusReport, is saying they have leaked details on the iPhone rumored 4.0 OS unveiling at Apple's event later this month. Here's what they've got:

There will be multi-touch gestures OS-wide. (Would make sense for that as the rumored OS for the iTablet is close if not the same as the iPhone)

“A few new ways” to run applications in the background — multitasking.

Many graphical and UI changes to make navigating through the OS easier and more efficient. We haven’t had this broken down, but we can only hope for improved notifications, a refreshed homescreen, etc.

The update will supposedly be available for only the iPhone 3G and 3GS, but will “put them ahead in the smartphone market because it will make them more like full-fledged computers” more than any other phone to date. Everyone is “really excited.”

The last piece of information is the most vague, but apparently there will be some brand new syncing ability for the contacts and calendar applications.

I'm interested in hearing where they got this info and how no one else has had their own intel on this. From what it looks like this 4.0 OS will also be shared by the "iSlate", but if that's the case then are we looking at just an oversized iPhone or an actual mobile desktop? Apple, my interest is peaked.

I'm still trying to figure out what their angle is with this tablet/slate concept. I want to see how they sell the device, which up until now still hasn't even had unrefutabal evidence of its existence.

Record video with your iPhone 3G and 2G with Qik

Someone has been listing to out iPrayers and now we have happiness. All you people with the rusty ol' iPhone 3G's and even 2G's now have the power to record video at a glorious 15fps with a bundle of effects like black and white, red, Na'vi blue, and mirror. Also it has zoom, which is a huge plus along with brightness and audio controls. Could it be better than the real thing? Maybe...

Grab it -- for a buck in the Appstore

Video: How to tie shoes - No Granny Knots!

I can't believe I have been doing it wrong all these years *facepalm*. Over at Runner's World they've put together an instructional video to go along with an informative article on the difference between Granny Knots and Reef Knots. We know your Rockin' Mom taught you how to tie your shoes, but she has been using a Granny Knot - yuck! Use the Reef Knot that actually tightens as you walk. Its science!

Video: Awesome parody ad for FarmVille

If you don't know what FarmVille is, you have not looked at your Facebook wall at all. My wall is a non stop spamming stream of FarmVille crappy poo. "Someone go the 'Cream of the Crop' award" I don't care. This ad says it like it is and thats why I think it is funny.

Question: How do I disable FarmVille stuff from Going on my wall? Its making me really - FARMVILLE!

t3ch Review: Speck iPhone Fitted Case

Product: Speck iPhone “Fitted” Case

Price: $30

Pro’s: cloth backing feels great, case is strong/durable, easy to put on & take off

Con’s: reaching the sleep button with one hand can be a bit hard

Where you can buy it: Amazon, Speck, Tiger Direct

About: Speck doesn’t just make iPhone cases; they also make bags, skins, and cases for notebooks. And what sets them apart from your ordinary generic accessory brand is their design. On top of adding flair and a drop of artistry on their products they also add functionality - which is why you’re buying the said product in the first place. Protecting your gear and looking good at the same time kills two birds with one stone.

Fun Fact: Speck has a sweet gig going on for ‘not so well known artists’ where they can submit their work to be a part of ARTSPROJEKT - a limited collection of designs printed on iPhone Fitted cases; only 250 copies are made worldwide of each design, making the product truly a one of a kind.
