Rumor: Apple Creating a Real Tablet

TechCrunch's Siegler sources the iPad unveiled this week was just an appetizer and Job's tablet dreams are far from being fulfilled. Ever since rumors circled about a tablet originally, it was seen by many(like me) to be a touch screen version of a Macbook.  Like I have said before I was disappointed but there are rumors that the iPad was just a "introductory" tablet. The iPad was designed to help shift more people to Apple as well as establish what a larger touch device would be like.

Based upon various patent filing by Apple, there seems to be a very large shift to touch screen like the iPhone, iPad, Magic Mouse, and Macbook track pads. Obviously this is again just speculation but with huge rumors about competing Google and Microsoft Courier Tablets, Apple better somehow step it's game up again. I could definitely see Apple releasing one within the next year or two after working out all the kinks. There is also a huge possibility that Apple will be revealing some of it, much like they did Snow Leopard, at Apple's WWDC event in June. You can also expect rumors about touch screen iMacs to be circulating soon to start competing with HP Touch screens.

Nothing is for sure but I'm extremely excited to hear even the chance of the REAL Apple Tablet coming out or being mid-way in development.

Dragon Age Awakening: Queen of the Black March Trailer

It's a slow day for game news today but to tide over your wait for Dragon Age Awakening's March 16th release, Bioware has unveiled its second trailer for the game, titled the Queen of the Blackmarsh. Even if it's very short, it shows off a new enemy, the Queen of the Blackmarsh.

Man, all these short trailers are getting me more excited to play the expansion to one of my favourite games of 2009!

In other news, the twice delayed DLC, "Return to Ostagar" has finally come out on Xbox 360 and PC with the PS3 version still "coming soon."

Apple iPad Tablet explained - coming soon

Next Episode of the T3ch H3lp Podcast

Lead Editors Brandon Davenport, Nick Mahar and Ricardo Trejo take some quality time to tear apart the iPad and stop along the way to point out some of the ways it can fin into life. Ricardo is in love with the iPad and has been defending it ever since it was launched, he says "it could be some peoples first experiences with the internet" and he feels it is a vital participant in the on-the-go Apple Line up.

Nick on the other hand wants to give Mr. Jobs a firm smack in the face and say "What the hell were you thinking? iPad!?". Nick thinks this is "not a ground breaking product" and believe it or not, he is an Apple Fanatic! I on the other hand see this in a neutral fashion, on the outside looking in, amazed by its beauty and simplicity, but still flabbergasted at how many different female toiletry products I can call it.

Video: Hitler responds to the iPad - not happy

The man that we've all come to know as the evilest man in history has just finished watching the iPad keynote. He is a little more tech savvy then we thought and, at one point, he even was an Apple fanboy. That time has come to pass as the iPad has been released, and Hitler is pissed out of his mind.

In the past, Hitler and the world never agreed on anything, but we now can agree on one thing, "It sounds like a fucking tampon!".

Rumor: Chrome OS on a Google Tablet?

As most of you know, a few months ago Google came out and said that Chrome would soon become a full blown OS centered around the web browser. At the time netbooks seemed to be the logical place to take it, since their hardware is light and they'd be the easiest to implement Chrome OS in to. However, as 2010 has rapidly become the unofficial year of the tablet computer I doubt Google would just want to sit this one out - not when it's become their bread and butter to get into other markets and offer cheap alternatives.

Earlier in the year there was a rumor spread around the blogosphere that HTC and Google (dual makers of the Nexus One) would be joining force yet again, to do what? What else besides cook up a direct rival to the Apple's, then unannounced, iPad.

TechRadar recalls that at an event they attended earlier in the week, Anders Sandholm, an important guy in Google's web of employees, seemed more than uneasy when answering a question that pertained to touch being capable within the Chrome OS:

"I can't... I mean... right now we are targeting netbooks, that's what we're focused on, but I expect it to work well... we expect it to target everything up to desktop computers... Chrome OS will be built for a specific hardware setup."

- Anders Sandholm, Google Senior Product Manager of Search

It's an understatement to say that there were only a couple of people disappointed in the iPad, so I'm positive there are those clinging onto every word of an alternative to the oversized iPod Touch

GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City PS3, PC bound

Rockstar has announced that DLC previously exclusive to the Xbox 36o will be heading to PC and PS3 on the 30th of March. Microsoft paid $50 Million for these exclusives, but as all things are these days, they were only timed exclusive.

Both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony will be available as separate downloads but you can also buy them together as Episodes from Liberty City in their respective shops. PS3 owners will have to cough up $39.99 for the retail disc or $19.99 for each download.
