HTC's latest handset burns as passionately as a wildfire
Looks like tonight’s been privy to HTC’s latest handset line-up. During a German press conference the — then — unannounced HTC Wildfire was accidentally set loose for the ensuing media. The newest touchscreen candybar brings nothing special to the table, but is surprisingly packed to the brim with quadband GSM and UMTS/HSDPA radios (pitched at 900/2100MHz). Specification wise its running Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, a Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU clocked in at 525MHz, a 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, WiFi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 512MB of Flash memory and 348MB of RAM. It’s due to hit Europe and Asia sometime in Q3, but in the meantime how about checking out HTC’s press release and Engadget’s hands-on after the break?
