The Twitter app from old to new - Design in Review

A few days ago, Twitter launched their new design for their website as well as the re-designed Tweetdeck web app and the overall consensus was mostly positive, which is shocking considering people loath any change on the internet. From what we’ve seen, the brand-wide re-design of Twitter has been a success so far, and only a few small nicks and scratches are left to be filled here and there. Today though, we’re focusing on Twitter’s new iOS app because we think it’s the most significant change and just another example of Twitter expertly blurring the lines between desktop, web & mobile.

How to direct message anyone on Twitter - Twitgram

We won’t question you or why you would want to do this; maybe you’re stalking your ex, or perhaps you just want that certain celebrity to respond to your millionth tweet that they’ve again ignored. Well, there’s a way to go around the DM’ing someone only if they’re following you thing, and that’s by using a little known service called Twitgram. — More after the break!

Twitter readying NSFW option for posting images

Twitter has told developers that new tools have been given to their API that allows users to flag content in tweets as sensitive, or NSFW. The option seems to be a two-way street, allowing the poster of the original image or those who view the image to flag it. I usually don’t see a whole lot of NSFW images on Twitter, but then again I may be using it wrong. — Details after the break!

Well, Twitter continues to grow and will soon be offering this tool themselves when a new feature is rolled out to the masses in the oncoming weeks. That, and a new revamped search that will help you find the latest trending photos and videos as well. — More after the break!

Twitter acquires Tweetdeck for loads of cash

Which iOS twitter client do you use? If you’re like most then probably TweetDeck (though I’m not one of them!) Well, sad to say that it looks like Tweetdeck is going to be acquired by Twitter for roughly $50 million. What’s this mean for the future of the mobile and desktop app, we’re not exactly sure. — Check out the details after the break!

Portal 2 Reviews in 140 Characters

So, many gaming sites have pushed out their Portal 2 reviews (we will have our official review out soon) and many of them say the same thing “it’s awesome”, we decided to let our Twitter friends speak their peace and give their 140 character review. We want this post to show you what people like you think about Portal 2 and we really hope this adds another layer to the reviews you’ve read.

TweetBot for iPhone - Review

TapBots have been the creative minds behind some of the best apps ever created for Apple’s iPhone, including PasteBot, ConvertBot and CalcBot. Now they’re hatching a new experience called TweetBot, their first Twitter client for iPhone. Sure, it’s a first release and it is missing a few things and has a few bugs, but TapBot’s new app has been taking the world by storm since the day it was released. — Our review after the break!
