Dual Screen Laptop - Not as cool as you might think

I first got to take a look at a similar Dual Screen Laptop concept by MSI at CES earlier this year. And while it may have looked to be one of the coolest things imaginable, as Jon Rettinger of Techno Buffalo points out, in the real world it’s completely useless.

This is the Toshiba Libretto.

Netflix Offering Streaming Only Plan at $7.99, Raising DVD Plans

Like it or not, Netflix’s streaming service has become their bread winner. So much so, that they believe DVD’s might become supplemental one day, as the streaming service was once to the DVD plans. Well, things are slowly moving in that direction now that Netflix has announced a Streaming Only Plan for $7.99, and jacked up the prices for DVD plans, now starting at $9.99 — Details after the break!

The Glif is a stand and a tripod mount for your iPhone 4

What’s so cool about the Glif is it’s probably the simplest gadget accessory out there. It is a solid piece of plastic that tightly holds your iPhone 4 (even upside-down) to mount it on any tripod, and you can also use it as a stand to prop your iPhone up in either landscape, or portrait orientations.

39% of employees would quit if Facebook was banned, and other statistics

By reading this, you’re basically a statistic. This (really well designed) infographic by OnlineMBA presents some of the most surprising statistics about people in the workplace, and how they waste time. Online videos, social networking and games are the downfall of most employees, and presumably cripple workplace efficiency — but we want to know what it’s like when theres no way for workers to take a break… personally, we’d go insane.

We have been waiting forever and it’s finally here — iOS 4.2 for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Apple just minutes ago unleashed the update to everyone in the US and abroad and as we speak I have my iPad plugged in and updating like a champ. The update process is smooth as usual, and it’s almost done. We will update with a video if we can.

Kinect doesn't need you, it can auto-steer - Video

Auto-steering is a great thing huh? According to GELTONZ on Youtube, this trick only works when you sit down because Kinect sees you are obviously too lazy to stand, so it plays for you. If this is really the case and Kinect does play for you, this isn’t a good sign for “emergent” gameplay, or the sign of a good challenge.
