Reddit performs Bohemian Rhapsody - Video

I was browsing Reddit last night and one particular thread cought my eye — it was Reddit performing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. We’ve seen this done before on other sites many times, and they’ve all been pretty awesome, but Reddit’s stuck out in particular. The Rage Faces are what added the extra razzle-dazzle to the thread, and became the centerpiece to my video — enjoy!

Two researchers have properly enhanced 8-bit "pixel art" using an algorithm

When it comes to the term “8-bit”, any geek will understand the joy they feel when that phrase is uttered. It means something “retro” or something that will flood memories back from their early days of gaming as a kid. As a designer, I think of beautiful 8-bit art or maybe even icons for a website or application, and a musician would think of chiptunes — but everyone can agree on one thing — 8-bit has stood the test of time, but now researchers have used science to enhance the pixelated art of the past.

[Spoilers]Cave Johnson was never seen alive in Portal 2[/Spoilers], however that hasn’t stopped countless of fans to nominate him for character of the year in their minds. Which may have something to do with this typography video made out of the famous rant he spouted during Chell’s adventures in [Spoilers]Aperature’s vintage test chambers[/Spoilers]. Oh, and y’know these spoiler tags are just for show, right?

PS3 - L.A. Noire Review

Well, let’s start this off by saying you’ve probably never played a game quite like this. From GTA developers Rockstar and Australian based Team Bondi, L.A. Noire is an ambitiously different kind of title with unbelieveably realistic facial animations, and innovative gameplay, that’s a cross up between the regular open world aspects of GTA and the investigative prowess found in something akin to a Phoenix Wright game. It’s a fascinating experience in its own right and the story, gameplay, and graphics more than make up for its few flaws. — Our review after the break!

AT&T could be charging your iPad and iPhone for data, even when it's disabled

I used to have an iPod touch, and I loved that thing to death with the apps, email and Youtube videos galore, but the day I purchased my first Smartphone (iPhone 4) my world turned upside-down. Of course I was familiar how cellular data worked (I sort of have to) but until I had a chunk of data all for myself, I never realized how revolutionary it is. The internet anywhere, anytime and anything you want — it’s really wonderful, but it’s abusively expensive (I live in Canada, derp) and sometimes carriers like to rake you over the coals — in this case AT&T is deceptively adding random data usage to your bill, just enough for overage fees.
