After a slew of leaks from Amazon, Walmart, and case manufacturers, we’d be surprised if the HTC EVO Shift 4G hadn’t officially been announced today! What we’ve got here is basically a modified version of the T-Mobile G2, specced out with a 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7630 CPU, a 3.6” 800x480 LCD, Android 2.2 with Sense on top, and a 5 megapixel rear camera. WiMAX 4G makes its obvious appearance powered by the 1500 mAh battery. To be honest, we’d take the original EVO 4G over this slider any day, but hey, it’s only $150 starting January 9th!

Videos Mac OS X and Windows 7 Installed on Cr-48
Remember when we said that the Cr-48 looked a lot like a black MacBook? YouTube user “Damis648” went and made that a reality. One reality actually, because you can also put Windows 7 on the Cr-48.

We’re not sure what it is with the HTC EVO Shift 4G but we’ve seen its face way too many times without any sort of official press release. If you direct your browser to Seidio’s online store, they’ll actually sell you everything from a screen protector to an extended battery pack marked “under development” if you sell them the unreleased handset. It definitely seems rather weird but the website didn’t look too legit to us either. Until then, the ball is in HTC’s court.
HTC HD2 gets Android port for built in NAND

We’ve been following the whole “Android on the HD2” saga since the day some xda-developers threw it onto an SD card and booted up the OS. And now they’re ready to take it to the next level with Android right on the built in memory of the phone (previously, you had to boot into Windows Mobile 6.5, then bring up a file manager to access Android). While the NAND port has been tested for a while in the field, this release is finally stable for your hacking pleasure. Check it out here!

Are Android phones really that much alike? While browsing through some Speck PR articles, I came across this little jewel. While expecting to see an image of the Motorola Bravo inside a CandyShell, we got this instead. Thought it was worth a good laugh but I’m not sure HTC appreciates the mix up. — that is all.
