t3ch Review - Logitech Illuminated Keyboard

I’m sure theres at least one incident where you just wished the keys on your keyboard could light up (that is, if they don’t already). The Logitech Illuminated Keyboard does just that, and packs it into a sleek and attractive form factor. Today we shall investigate whether or not this input device is worth its admission price and more importantly: is backlighting a gimmick?

Official T-Mobile G2 Shots Leaked, Costs $199 with Contract

Potentially the best slider Android phone ever, the G2 has finally been leaked by T-Mobile itself through these 3 PR images. It seems that unlike the myTouch 3G Slide, T-Mobile will only offer this device in the shown silver color, which if you ask me, doesn’t look too bad. Actually, I think it differentiates between the mid-range texting smartphone and the high-end top of the line smartphone. The shots also suggest that the interface isn’t too skinned (probably not HTC Sense?) and features Android 2.2 (Froyo). 3.7” OLED display and 5 megapixel camera are still in place but the rumored 1 Ghz Snapdragon has since been revised to a 800 Mhz processor. Is the lower camera resolution something that all high end Android sliders share? That aside, it certainly looks pretty slim and the keyboard definitely looks seriously tactile. Now if only we had a time machine to get us to September 15th earlier….

iPod Classic Still Alive and Kickin'. Gets Genius Mixes

With no mention at the Apple event today, many had thought the iPod Classic was dead. But we’re gald to report that Apple is still selling the 160 GB model at a price of $250. Oh, and the gallery of the ancient media player now features it with Genius Mixes, which they refused to include in the previous revision.

Motorola Milestone 2 Arrives with Android 2.2 and MotoBlur

It appears the the folks at Motorola have recently been having some sort of leaking disorder with its slider Android devices. First the DROID 2 was thrown about everywhere before its official launch. And now it’s international brother has been leaked and somewhat confirmed through Motorola’s Youtube channel. Check out this promo video if you’re interested in the DROID 2 but reside somewhere other than the US!

Well, and it seems that just one day after the early leak, the phone is official! Running MotoBlur on top of Android 2.2, it certainly doesn’t feel like a high end smartphone. But then HD video recording is a high-end feature along with a 1GHz OMAP, 512 MB of RAM, and a 5 megapixel cam.

HP Envy 17 3D and Envy 14 Beats Edition Announced

The HP Envy series has always been an item of interest to me since the launch of the Envy 13 and 15. At first, they were just Macbook Pro clones, but with the introduction of the Envy 17 and Envy 14 (and now the 17 3D and 14 Beats), it’s clear that HP is now trying to do something very different and more impressive.  First off, the Envy 17 3D is basically a stock Envy 17 with an AMD powered 3D technology slapped on. It comes with the shutter glasses and will support 3D Blu-Ray discs at launch.
