Good Bye Apple 24" and 30" Cinema Displays

We all saw this coming didn’t we? First, Apple announces a new LED display to go with the unibody Macbooks. Then the iMacs all got LED IPS displays. And with today’s hectic Mac announcements came with a new 27” LED Cinema Display. Jason Snell of Macworld strongly confirms that the 24” and 30” Cinema Displays are on their way out. 27 inches seems to be Apple’s display size of choice anyways seeing that the top of the line iMac is 27” and not 30.”

Mac Mini Splashed with Paint by Colorware

We thought the new Mac Mini redesign looked great enough, that was until Colorware came strolling by and worked on Apple’s new desktop computer and made it that much more stylish. We’ve previously covered the colorized Xbox 360 and iPhone 4 so customizing

$150 Augen Android Tablet Coming to Kmart

The Gentouch78. Presumably, the 78 represents the 7” display and 800 x 480 display. One shocking aspect about this Android 2.1 tablet is that you can watch 720p HD videos on it. Powering the slate, a 800 Mhz processor and 256 MB of RAM slides itself in along with 2 GB of flash storage. Unlike Archos’ Android tablets, this one will have access to the Android Market. This all sounds pretty great in the year of the tablet but the downside is that you will have to drive your way to your local Kmart to get ahold of one. That’s right. Later this week, you will have to stop reading T3ch H3lp for a brief moment to get to Kmart. Can’t fathom doing that? We thought so. In that case, you’ll have to check out Velocity Micro’s $150 Android tablets.

HTC Vision Coming to T-Mobile as G1 Blaze?

We’ve seen a lot of the DROID 2 recently so it’s nice to see another high end Android slider on the scene. It turns out that the HTC Vision device we saw a while back might be sold as the G1 Blaze on T-Mobile later this year. Specs remain untouched and are still rumored to be 3.7” WVGA display with 1 GHz Snapdragon. Though we have no idea why T-Mobile would name this high-end device after the first Android device, it will be nice to see the DROID 2 have some competition when it comes out. At this point, we’re not even sure it will arrive in the States or if it will go to Europe first, as with the Desire, Legend, and HD Mini. Though if T-Mobile actually gets an iPhone in Q3, I’m sure customers will have enough to be occupied by.

HTC Device Running Windows Phone 7 In the Wild

Windows Phone 7 seems like an interesting platform so far from all the previews we’ve seen, but the platform would be nothing without killer devices. HTC, a company known for making some of the most enjoyable devices - namely the EVO 4G - has sprouted a mysterious Desire-ish device in the wild. And by Desire-ish I mean 3.7” display and 1 Ghz Snapdragon.

Dell Streak + Logitech diNovo Mini = Awesome Android Laptop

Dell Streak + Logitech diNovo Mini = Awesome Android Laptop

For those of you living in the UK, you might have been lucky enough to get your hands on a Dell Streak. Now if you’re in the crowd that loves physical keyboards rather than those non tactile virtual keyboards, you may just be in luck. If you still have $150 left after buying that 5’ tablet, you might want to invest in a Logitech diNovo Mini. As demonstrated in the video, the diNovo Mini fits the Streak like a glove and connects fine via Bluetooth. I just want to know where the diNovo Micro is so someone can mash it together with an iPhone.

Apple Working on New Mac Pro Refresh Also?

Apple may be “working their butts off” with the iPhone 4 but a recent Mac Mini redesign and rumors of an iMac refresh lead the curious to wonder what happened to the Mac Pro? The Cupertino-based company gave its 27-inch iMacs Intel’s new i7 processors but left the Mac Pro in the cold. In many retail stores, Mac Pro’s are “unavailable.” Gizmodo claims that this is also the case on Apple’s online store but it appears to be fine for me (as well as several readers of the site). What is Apple going to put in this new Mac Pro? Well, I hope they do a bit of a minor redesign, throw in an i7-970 perhaps?, and add a more powerful graphics card. USB 3.0 might even make an appearance as previous reports suggest.
