Talk Like A Pirate On Facebook

Wouldn't you like to change everything on Facebook into Pirate talk? For some people who didn't know (like me), you can change the language of your Facebook to be Pirate talk! Simply go to your settings, language, and select English (Pirate) and you're all set.

This is just a fun little tool that gives Facebook a little bit more flavor, and as you can see with the pictures above, it become your own little pirate ship. You'll learn to love it and find more and more funny things you didn't notice before. Beware though, you might catch yourself typing a regular status update or message in Pirate.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Review

Video Review out now!

Ricardo, Brandon, and Nick take some time to tear this game down to its roots in this original collaborative review - We explain everything.

Easily the most anticipated game of the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had much to live up to. And usually hype kills a product - under achieving the expectations of old and new fans could potentially derail the game. How could Modern Warfare 2 outdo its predecessor when the original was considered to be perfect; perfect in both campaign and multi-player. I’ll tell you how… by going so over-the-top that you would literally forget what even transpired in COD4. But does over-the-top translate into a good game?

Your Next Prom Dress Will Shine!

Though I doubt most of our readers will be wearing a dress anytime soon, I thought this was some crazy cool tech. The "Cute Circuit Galaxy Dress" is made up of 24,00 LED's measuring 2 by 2 millimeters each, hand embroidered onto the surface. The lights are powered by many iPod batteries that are light and hidden throughout the dress. Take it to the Prom, a rave, or your next party and you'll be sure to be the one glowing in the crowd, literally.

Snow Leopard 10.6.2 Fixes

OS X 10.6.2 is out, and finally fixes the infamous guest account problem that wiped out hard drives of many users. In this update, Apple has taken away the Intel Atom support. Some people have huge problems with this but oh well I guess can't really have a Hackintosh Netbook anymore.

Anyway here is a huge list of fixes and updates within 10.6.2 which most notably fixes the guest account problem, Expose, and more small system stuff.

Facebook iPhone Dev Quit's - Apple's approval proccess to blame

My decision to stop iPhone development has had everything to do with Apple’s policies.” – Joe Hewitt

Joe Hewitt is the man behind one of the most popular apps on the iTunes store, the Facebook app. Sadly, he just tweeted that he is done and no longer working on the app.

"Time for me to try something new. I’ve handed the Facebook iPhone app off to another engineer, and I’m onto a new project.

On Joe's website he says:

"
My decision to stop iPhone development has had everything to do with Apple’s policies. I respect their right to manage their platform however they want, however I am philosophically opposed to the existence of their review process. I am very concerned that they are setting a horrible precedent for other software platforms, and soon gatekeepers will start infesting the lives of every software developer.

The web is still unrestricted and free, and so I am returning to my roots as a web developer. In the long term, I would like to be able to say that I helped to make the web the best mobile platform available, rather than being part of the transition to a world where every developer must go through a middleman to get their software in the hands of users.”

This is a big deal because Joe is basically the one-man show behind the Facebook app. Hewitt has been very vocal over the years about Apple's ridiculous App Store approval policies, even posting about it on his site last August. Hewitt claims Apple's review system should be eliminated completely.

Though he no longer works on the app, he is still with Facebook and will continue to work with Apple because they continuously offer the best product out there.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Review - Part 1

After first playing the game I was super stoked and am loving it. The game feels smoother and somehow improved from Modern Warefare 1.

In a recent post by our very own Ricardo Trejo he explained about the controversial first level. Luckily, the game has an option to skip certain levels, such as one mentioned above, just in case the player finds it offensive. Sadly, though, I agree, if you can't handle the level, then why are you playing the game in the first place?

More after the break!
