Google, Twitter, Facebook and others send a letter to Congress to stop PROTECT-IP & SOPA bills

As you are well aware, the US government is planning to pass a handful of bills that will enable them to execute censorship in the US and outside of the US… today. The odds are not in our favor, and as the collective, we need to stay on-top of this because if these bills (as written) are passed, it will mean disaster down the road. We could go into details, but we’ll hand you off to some people who actually know what they’re talking about after the jump!

This is the new Okay Geek

We’d like to welcome you to the best thing we’ve ever created. We’ve been working on this for months in secrecy and we were at one point on schedule to make an official release on Friday, but we had to rush things a tad. Due to un-forseen failures on the internet, we needed to push an early release before the duct-tape peeled off the old site. We’d like to take this time to answer any questions you have and get you in the loop…

End of the road: Adobe stopping Mobile Flash development, focusing on HTML5

Adobe said to it’s developers yesterday that “[They] will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations.” Instead, Adobe will be investing much more time and money in building HTML5 tools and products to help usher in a new age of development for the web and mobile devices. That said, Adobe will continue to support and provide critical updates and fixes to current deployments of Flash, but they will not be making any further development on Flash for new mobile devices and websites.

We’re going to be taken back to San Andreas with a new protagonist, new time period and, of course, new gorgeous next-gen graphicy goodness, but the available information on GTA V is sparse and there isn’t much to do but speculate and dream… well so we thought. A heap-ton of new GTA V information broke loose on the GTA Forums on Thursday detailing some of the most important aspects regarding the new game and it’s location, characters, items and graphics.

Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand looks incredible - Video

This almost feels like Battlefield 3’s “Vietnam” expansion pack, and oh boy are we glad we picked up the limited edition. All of $15 bones (1200 MSP)will get you 4 re-imagined Battlefield 2 maps, 10 new weapons and 3 new vehicles (one of which seems to be a dune buggy). We’re happy to see DICE still likes to pack some value in their DLC, and we hope others follow.

Grand Theft Auto V trailer brings us back - Video

Grand Theft Auto has always been a series that is somewhat immune to failure. Rockstar has created a formula that works, and they have owned the genre since the series was created. The trailer above is just another testiment showing these games just keep getting better and better, and the world Rockstar has created is about to return in a big way. We missed you San Andreas!
