Sticky notes appear all over Apple Store in Canada, thanking Steve Jobs
It was yesterday that we lost a visionary. Steve Jobs passed away and the news left the tech world shaken, and the people who look up to him, saddened. Nothing could have prepared us for this news.
It was around 1pm today that I recieved an email from my Dad telling me he had snapped a photo of the Apple store in Square One Mall, Mississauga, where people had placed sticky notes all over the glass front. It sort of just happened, and we wouldn’t be surprised if sticky notes popped up on every Apple store front, all over the world. View the full photo here!
Breaking - Apple announces Steve Jobs has passed away
Earlier today news broke throughout the various blogs and social networks that Apple’s long time CEO, Steve Jobs had passed away due to his contuining health problems. Since then, it’s been confirmed by Apple that Jobs did in fact pass this morning surrounded by family and friends. Here at Okay Geek we’ve had a love/hate relationship with the man. His creations were the innovations of genius design and engineering, but his personal life and the way he ran Apple were of considerable question. Rather then summarize his life’s accomplishment and legacy, since his products that we use on a day to day basis are a testament enough to that, we’re going to simply post a number of videos of how he introduced these game-changers to the world, as well as what his colleagues and long time rivals say to the news of Steve Jobs’ death. — More after the break!

Netflix splitting streaming and dvd rentals into two company's -- introducing Qwikster.com and game rentals
Netflix’s price increases went into effect earlier this month and that didn’t go too smoothly with its millions of members from crying bloody murder. It wasn’t so much the price hike as much as the way the company handled it, completely without any soul, just simply stating the price was happening and to conform or be charged. Well, just a few hours ago Netflix’s CEO, Reed Hastings, apologized for the way things were handled, and also within the same statement unveiled plans to create a new company that soley manages the dvd side of things, as well as a whole new video game rental department. — More after break!
iPhone 5 coming to Sprint - Employees trying to keep quiet
We all know the iPhone 5 is coming in hot and most likely going to be announced in just weeks, but that’s us. Sprint is trying to keep those “normies” in-the-dark when it comes to Apple’s latest innovation, and trying to keep inventory moving before the big day. It’s a smart move, but you think they’d know it’d get out into the wild somehow huh? — More after the break!

Borderlands 2 Gameplay captured by spy-cam - (Video)
We feel a bit wrong posting this, but it’s just too awesome. We have very little background as to what’s happening on the screen, but from what we can tell it’s the good ol’ Borderlands we’ve always loved, but it appears to have a bit of a visual overhaul (lighting, fog, motion blur, etc.) and a new location. Very exciting, and we can’t wait to see some real gameplay!
