Twitter readying NSFW option for posting images

Twitter has told developers that new tools have been given to their API that allows users to flag content in tweets as sensitive, or NSFW. The option seems to be a two-way street, allowing the poster of the original image or those who view the image to flag it. I usually don’t see a whole lot of NSFW images on Twitter, but then again I may be using it wrong. — Details after the break!

The internet technology industry is taking Wall Street by storm and this infographic below breaks it all down. I’m assuming flickr user ammnra is a Black Mesa scientist, considering he’s decided to tease Aperature Science loving fans with these custom made personality cores from Portal 2. He’s also said he’s not going to make more or sell them, which again leads me to believe he’s a physicist or something with tons of cash already in his pockets, since he’d be crazy to pass an opportunity like this. — More Portal 2 goodness after the break!

Skype's crazy history as a company - Infographic

When it comes to calling people over the internet, VOIP (Voice over IP) isn’t a common term. In fact, nobody really ever uses the generic terms “video call, audio chat, online call, etc”. There’s only one term that is understandable by anyone and everyone — “Skype me”.

Skype has become somewhat of a verb when it comes to arranging a VOIP call, heck even I have invited our editors to a call by posing the question “Wanna Skype later to go over blah blah blah”.

It’s pretty clear that Skype is the first choice by anyone when it comes to having a successful video/audio call, and with the purchase by Microsoft, it only seems fair to take a look back at Skype’s crazy history…

Whether we’ve got a lot of gear in our workspaces or just a handful of apps on our phones, as geeks we like to show off what we got. So here at Okay Geek we thought we’d start off a Friday feature where our readers can submit to us images of their home workspace, their gaming setup, or even just screenshots of their desktop wallpaper or iPhone springboards. Tell us how where you found your wallpaper, what it took to build your gaming rig, or what’s your favorite iOS app. We’d love to hear from you guys. — Details after the break!
