HTC Thunderbolt with LTE for Verizon leaked ahead of CES?

So, it looks as though Verizon / HTC’s newest LTE handset is out of the bag. What you’re looking at here according to Droid Life is Verizon’s answer to Sprint’s EVO 4G… but you know, with a far better name. Beseeched with a quite possible market release name of Thunderbolt — and here we were thinking all the cool handset names had been used already.

As far as device stylings go there’s nothing overly impressive here, just another 4.3-inch slate device with a black bezel. In fact, the stylings of the Thunderbolt are almost identical to the EVO, which makes one presume that internally all that’s changed is that the EVO’s WiMAX chip has been swapped out for an LTE one. Besides similar stylings we don’t know all that much, but perhaps we’ll learn more next week at Verizon’s CES press conference? Until then you can hit up our first source link below for more photos of the device.
