Jolicloud - Optimized OS for Netbooks

Netbooks are increasing in popularity. And you know why? Most people who are on the go don't usually do much besides go online when using their laptops. So why not make a much more streamlined OS, base it off Linux to do away with the clunkiness of Windows, and give you all the apps right out of installation so you browse, stream, and tweet all you want? Well, thanks to Jolicloud, now you can. Optimized for cloud computing, it also boasts native applications to not make your netbook completely useless when not connected to some WiFi.

Spezify - a New way to Search

While Google and Bing are dueling each other in a battle of the search engines, Spezify has crept up to bring you something original and kooky to the search game. Compiling a sleuth of results from all over the net, Spez' offers you a literal collage of articles, tweets, images, and videos - all of which give you a bigger picture as to what you're looking for.

It's a bit hard to explain, but you'll get it when you do your first search. Don't Google it. Just Spezify.

Try it at Spezify.com

Snow leopard, however, only changed things "Under the hood" like a service pack or an update. So why was this considered an OS and not an "Update" or "Service Pack"? [...]

I checked out the stream, and the choices between alternate camera's is an awesome feature, but there is about a 30 second delay between the tv and online broadcast.

NFL extra will be available on all Sunday night games.

iTunes Play Controls on Win 7

Given a tip from a reader, Lifehacker has posted up a small, yet sweet, little feature discovered on iTunes 9 made exclusively for Windows 7.

When you hover over the iTunes icon in the taskbar you are now given basic control options rather than a preview window, and when right clicking are given an option of visiting the iTunes store.
