Macbook Air gets crushed by a bus

This will pull some heart strings in any Apple Fanboys iHeart. This is something that we should be happy about, that is the fact that this is not our laptop. Amazingly, the Air does apparently still work (apart from a little issue with the screen), although it's pretty clear that the bus came out ahead in this match-up. There are some more sad pics after the link.

Dell Adamo XPS Hands On - Video Demo

You probably have seen all the neat stuff on the Adamo XPS, but this is one of the first video demos by those crafty guys at Engadget. It sports a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4Gigs of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB thin-micro SSD, and an LED 13.4-inch display. It is also (as you already know) it is very slim, in fact it is thinner than your iPhone, Ohmigosh! The final verdict? It's a well-made machine with a significant issue of a price to performance imbalance. Do we need one, absolutely no. Do we want one, hell yes!

the very Best smartphones on every Carrier

There has been constant noise on which smartphone is the best, and most people are tired of it, or they are just confused beyond repair. The true thing that makes a smartphone good is not just the hardware, but the thing that connects it to the world, your carrier.

All of the phones have specific pros and cons based, again, not upon the phone itself, but lots of the issues lie on the carriers -- AT&T's poor 3G performance, Verizons huge early termination fee -- and also lots of the good stuff is because of the carriers; price drops because of competition, and good service. But what it all boils down to is the fact that there are only a handful of "good" phones on each carrier. Gizmodo took the time to sift through the good, bad, and the ugly to bring you a list of what phones are the best.

61 Free Apps You're Thankful for

For nearly every job, or need, you have there is some free software out there that's a single click and download away to help you out.  Lifehacker, one of t3chh3lp's most favorite sites out there, asked their readers to submit which free applications they were most thankful for (since it's the Thanksgiving season in the USA). After a couple days to reply the people answered the call, and made a list of the most essential programs that just about everyone should have on their computer.

I know personally I am partial to Google Chrome, Foxit's PDF Reader, and CCleaner, but as a collective group t3chh3lp uses Dropbox and Skype to move around files and communicate with our writing staff, respectively. There are just so many apps out there that make the offline and online world so much easier, that it'd be hard to say that we just use a handful of these.

Make sure to go to LifeHacker's page and read the full list of which free app's people are most thankful for - you just might share their love after trying a couple.

Silverlight is coming to iPhone - Who knew!

There is a old and tired argument based on the fact that the iPhone does not have flash. Sure it can make pages load faster, crash less, and avoid the "Slap the monkey ads" but we miss out on other things, like Facebook games and videos on other places, besides Youtube.

What is Silverlight? Silverlight was launched by Microsoft in 2007, and provides a toolset that developers can use to build rich multimedia and interactivity into websites. It is a lot like Flash, but it is based on a flavor of XML, which is a very nerdy subject. Go read up on it.

BREAKING: Mininova goes Content Distribution torrents Only

Well, it's the end of the line for Mininova as we know it. Losing a battle to the courts, as of today they've decided to support Content Distribution torrents only. What does that mean? The only thing you'll be able to find is the stuff that artists allow them to give out for free. Think of it as freeware torrents.

So in layman's terms, no more torrenting your favorite TV shows, movies, music, or games from Mininova.

GoogleGoogleGoogleGoogle.com - Go ahead Try it

GoogleGoogleGoogleGoogle.com just might be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Have four different searches up at once and save yourself all that tab clutter. Oh Google, how awesome you are.
