How does the iPhone Make Money? (Graphic)

Someone has to be making money off of this powerhouse of a phone - even if it is losing gadget of the year awards. GigOM has managed to inform us via Info-graphic. Think of it as an infomercial; just more condensed and informative. By the end you'll rage at At&t's profits and why they haven't transformed the stacks of green into a more robust and streamlined network that can handle everything its users can throw at it.

Droid triumphs over iPhone - named Best Gadget of 2009 by Time

Sorry Apple, but you'll have to settle with 4th place this year as the Droid takes the cake for Time's 2009 Gadget of the Year. (Que the confetti. Hooray!) So what does this mean exactly? Not much. Last year's winner was Peek's Email Device, and that, well, hasn't gone as smoothly as some might have hoped. But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the Droid will share the same fate; just that winning this honor doesn't necessarily mean anything. However, it does speak volumes about the mobile market.

Apple Tablet Confirmed by Oppenheimer - Launch in April

There has been a hurricane of rumors, leaks, supposed release dates and specs. The Apple tablet has been Vapour-ware since it was first announced, but we now have another (huge) peice of the pie to solve this mystery (thanks to Kevin Rose on Twitter :D). A company called Oppenheimer has just released a document depicting the details we have been dying for. They have uncovered several tidbits about Apple's forthcoming tablet.

First, it appears Apple will begin ramping production in February, implying that the tablet could launch in late March or April (barring production hiccups). Their checks also suggest that the iPad's display will be a 10.1" LTPS based LCD screen, not an OLED display as other rumors have suggested.

Full documentation after the break.

iHandstick turns you iPhone or iPod touch into the ultimate gaming device

The iPod touch and iPhone have been (ever since the app store) one of the first thoughts that pops into peoples head when they want to play games. It is powerful, it has a big screen and there is like a bazillion apps to choose from. The sad part is, its about as ergonomic as a handful of nails. The iHandstick might just do the job -- this hollow cousin of the Playstation controller may satisfy owners of iPod touch 2G / 3G and iPhone 3G / 3GS. $16.99 plus shipping and it's all yours.

My Top 5 Google Chrome Extensions

Earlier in the week we posted up TechCrunch's starter pack for Google Chrome extensions. Well, I wasn't too happy with what their choices since out of all of them I only liked one. So I went ahead and made a list of the add-on's that I think make for a great starter park, or even an essentials list.
