Google's Nexus One's Interface gets a Silent Tour

For this being the quote unquote "Google phone" it doesn't seem all user friendly. I was expecting big icons, a flashy looking interface, and something that wouldn't topple the iPhone, per say, but at least rival it. Sure, the first thing you notice is how fast and "snappy" it is, but other than that it doesn't really stand out in terms of being this special phone that everyone was talking about. I feel letdown, you could say.

Maybe I was expecting something like the the HTC Diamond's TouchFlo3D UI. Now THAT's something with flash - something I would buy in a heart beat. The Android software just feels too clunky to me - sort of like representing the PC in the PC vs. Mac debate. I don't know about this, but the Nexus One looks to me like just another phone out in the crowd.

Next generation iPhone may have a 5 Megapixel camera

Digitimes' slippery sources are claiming that OmniVision, the current manufacturers of the iPhone 3GS 3.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, has been given a new contract to sign with Apple. It's to provide the iPhone with new sensors for the next-generation 2010 model, due sometime in the summer.

They say that the new sensor will be capable of a 5 megapixel resolution, which will get a lot of people excited. Also, they say that the number of sensors they will have to make is also going to increase from 20-21 million estimated this year, to 40 to 45 million CMOS for 2010.

After 3 Years Twitter is Now Profitable Thanks to Bing and Google

Business Week is reporting that they believe micro-blogging giant, Twitter, may finally post its first profitable year for 2009 after striking deals with Microsoft and Google for "real time results" on their search engines. This'll gives the company the first sight of incoming "green" in the 3 years its existed; without paid services, merchandise, or even ads, Twitter has been floating on by with the help of nothing but venture capitalists' investments - which is estimated to be somewhere near $50 million total.

With revenue finally trickling its way in, could we finally see some new additions make their way onto the service? We've heard of the paid "premium" account idea, but we've yet to hear anything solid about it since then. People who find Twitter and stay on it love its simplicity and concept, but I'd stake that they wouldn't mind a few new features to add to the experience.

AT&T's warped view of the internet - $65 to stream video

When you take something that works, something that flows endlessly and is available to anyone, you need to appreciate it. Some people do not; some companies want to squash our standards, and cripple our means of content and communication. They want to limit our opportunities all because of greed, power, and the all mighty dollar.

Get a Good Night Sleep Streaming Frogs Ribbiting and Rain Falling Online

If you're like me then you can't fall asleep in silence. I need something to make some kind of noise to get myself at peace and gently lull my way to dreamland. I've searched high and low all over the 'net trying to find perfect meditation and relaxation music, and everything I run into has too much ambiance to it. Just give me some noises, maybe some water flowing through a creek, that's all I want.

Well, as luck would have it I found such a site. It's called SoundSleeping.com, recommended by commenter Ferox from Lifehacker. I've tried it and it's better than any meditation album I've ever downloaded.

It's free to use the streaming service, but to download songs from their store it can cost you anywhere from $1.99 to $3.99 which isn't bad at all, especially when you get to preview them before purchasing.

Try it out at SoundSleeping.com

CNN Interviews the Man who Married his DS Girlfriend - Dude Trolls World

I don't care what anyone thinks, this guy is seriously trolling everyone. Sure, he brings his DS around and takes pictures with it and so on, but anyone could keep a running gag going to get attention - and remember, this IS Japan we're talking about, where anti-socialites usually stay in their rooms and fear the outside world.  This guy is socializing it up,  getting press and internet status just by coming up with the idea to marry his DS - which of course isn't legally binding.
