Dead Space 2 First Look Gameplay Trailer

Dead Space 2 First Look Gameplay Trailer

We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time and now it’s finally here: the first look at Dead Space 2’s gameplay.

While not innovative in anyway, the new footage sticks to what made the first one so awesome, its atmosphere. Sure, the space backdrop has been used for video games since their inception, but no one has ever made use of its eerie-ness until Dead Space. However, you can notice that there’s been some improvement on the lighting!

Also, why can’t space heroes have full heads of hair! Military style doesn’t count. What, do people have lice in space or something?!

Video - DIY High Powered Nerf Cannon

Nope, nothing witty to say. Just thought you’d enjoy a sweet video on how a dude makes an innocent child’s toy into a dangerous, fuel powered cannon of destruction.

Okay okay, I’m sure he won’t be going on any rampages anytime soon, shooting nerf balls at anyone. But it still does make for one awesome DIY project!

Video - Rocket Car powered by Coke and Mentos

Remember these guys? Well, their back and they decided to take it to the next level - they have built a car, powered by Coke and Mentos. Yes, this is a car and yes this video is also in 3D! How did they do it? Well, it took 108 2-liter bottles of Coke Zero and 648 Mentos and 5 months of work. Filming took place a month or two ago, and its in glorious 1080p after the break, along with a 3D version and some of their very early trial tests.

Microsoft to open store next to Apple's on iPhone launch day

From this point on June 24th shall be synonymous with the opening of Microsoft’s San Diego store. But wait, hang on a second, wasn’t June 24th already scheduled to be the launch of that fruit based company’s phone? Well yes, yes it was. Oh, and it gets better. Just when you thought Microsoft couldn’t have chosen a worse time to launch their new store, a sly Gizmodo tipster pointed out that it’s located four doors down from Apple’s San Diego store. Hmm, news just in: Guys, when you see that line outside your store it’s not actually for you, it just so happens to be overage from Apple’s store. Ahh, but we do have a solution for you big M — bust out some Windows Phone 7 phones and you’ll be the life of the party, even if it is just for 15 minutes.

P.S. If you want to check the store out for yourself when it opens, its located in Fashion Valley Mall.

Valve Cancels E3 "Surprise" Press Event - Destroys Fans' Dreams

After all the build up, after all the talk of a “surprise” event, after all the rumors and speculation of a Half Life 2: Episode 3 reveal, Valve has seemingly just walked out of the building. The company didn’t offer much of an explanation except that their press conference, which was to be held in Regal Theater on Monday, is no longer happening.

But not all hope is lost, since the company has only pulled their own press conference, yet any other announcements or unveiling’s could be through other press conferences. So who knows, maybe we might get a Half Life 3 announcement from Microsoft’s Xbox presser… ehh… ehh… ? It’s a long shot but you never know - this is E3 after all !!!
