Building a 16-bit ALU in Minecraft
“Patience is virtue” — theinternetftw on Youtube has done the impossible, and built a functioning processor unit using fire and blocks of earth, inside of a game. Minecraft has captured the imaginations of thousands of geeks, and personally, this has me really excited. theinternetftw hopes to build an entire computer in Minecraft featuring CPU, RAM and all the fixin’s — also, I heard u leik computers…
Install Android Froyo on your iPhone 3G over-the-air with Bootlace
You no longer need a computer to pack Android into your iPhone and start stickin’ it to the man. There has been a breakthrough for Jailbroken iPhones that allows you to install Android 2.2 Froyo over-the-air on your iPhone 3G. Truly amazing isn’t it?
Redmond Pie has compiled a slick step by step guide of how to accomplish the over-the-air install. It’s basically as simple as installing Bootlace 2.1 from Cydia, running it, and firing up iDroid.
The rest is taken care of, and all you have to do is sit back and relax. The proccess seems to be very user friendly, and could be accomplished by anyone who managed to Jailbreak their iPhone 3G.
It’s sort of weird that installing Android on a Jailbroken iPhone is now somewhat easier than updating an official Android device. Technology, you are so weird.
Kinect Video Fails - People hitting other people and falling
Everyone seems to have mixed feelings about Microsoft’s Kinect and the main reason is because people seem to hit other people and fall a lot. Once you get an elbow in the face from Grandpa, or a smack in the back of your head, Kinect leaves nothing but bad memories (and a mild concussion). We’re not saying Kinect is a “Fail” or a bad product — we simply want Microsoft to smother the Kinect in warning labels.

Bing and Windows Phone 7 show up on "Hawaii Five-0"
This is just too awkward to watch — I mean, even if the actors had said “Google it” it’s still pretty weird. Microsoft is clearly trying to gain some steam, having only sold around 40,000 units on launch day, and they must be hoping to catch a glimpse from the main-stream crowd — but I don’t know if this is the best way to do it…
End of the World (of Warcraft)
I found a great video on Youtube this afternoon, and being an avid WoW player I had no other choice but to share it. It’s a surprisingly good parody of the song “Its the end of the world as we know it” which I found in the WoW forum. It goes along really well with the whole “global apocalypse” theme that Cataclysm has going for. and even if your not that into WoW you may still find this to be pretty cool!
Tweetie Killer coming to the Mac App store
Updated on Nov 9, 2010 by
Brandon Davenport
A couple days ago, Tapmates released a rough image of what appears to be a Tweetie-like Twitter client. Now, a few folks are speculating that this could be Tweetie 2 for Mac, but as we know, Tweetie’s creator Loren was hired by Twitter last spring, and was tasked with creating the official Twitter iPhone and iPad app — so there’s not much hope that this is Tweetie 2 for Mac, as Twitter seems to dislike desktop apps.
t3ch Review - SGP Leather Argos iPad Case
When you have a $500+ computing machine you better believe you’re going to want a good case to protect that investment. And that counts double when we’re talking about an Apple product. The SGP Argos wants to be not only that extra insurance between a spill or a drop, but it also cares to make a statement that you care about what you let your iPad wear.
