Xbox 360 - Alice: Madness Returns review

Alice: Madness Returns is the sequel to the eleven year old game by American McGee and his company Spicy Horse. With its darker take on Lewis Caroll’s famous book, we’re finally seeing a sequel to game that stuck out in gamer’s minds for its wonderfully fantastical and bleak outlook on a fractured Wonderland. Madness Returns takes the visuals up a notch, while providing an entertaining, if repetitive combat system and a story that never quite reaches its potential. — Our full review after the break!

Google gives us a look at the +1 project - Video

We thought Google was up to something, but we never realized the scope of what it was. It seems as if Google has been keeping everyone in the dark (and most importantly compeditors) as to what they were up to. Obviously they have been hard at work on Google +1, but will a company who’s never succeeded in the social game stomp the competition?

Quick Thoughts on Proun

This week, I’ve found something special for a nice gaming experience. Let’s talk Proun, an indie game from the awesomely named Joost Van Dongen, who developed it in his spare time over the course of six years. It’s a stylistic, abstract 3D racer that features a fantastic artistic style and great music.

Crysis 2 DirectX 11 update cripples our PC once more - Video

When it was realeased, people were staring blankly at their “gaming” PC’s, watching their custom built marvel chug along to play the original Crysis. It has since become the staple in stress testing, but when Crysis 2 was released it seemed as if Crytek went soft on us. But now, here comes  the much anticipated DirectX 11 update that has us saying “my awesome PC is now a piece of crap… once again (shreaks of joy)!”

How the big tech companies got their famous names

Not a day passes by where big tech companies don’t brighten our life. Putting the flame wars aside and the nerdfights at bay, it truly is wonderful what we have — thanks to these nerdy companies that bubbled out of basements, garages and motels. Sure, the guys who built the gears that turn the tech industry are long gone, but the days of suits and offices are gone as well.

Geohot goes from being sued by Sony to working at Facebook -- go figure

When your name gets out there for being the first to release iPhone jailbreak methods, as well as getting in hot water for doing the same to locked down PS3’s then being sued by Sony themselves, you start to get noticed by bigger fish. Geohot, a hacker in the tech and gaming world that won’t soon be forgotten, has apparently landed himself a pretty sweet gig at one of the most prestigious companys anyone could ever dream of working for: Facebook. — Details after the break!

Judge Wheatley and Judge Space Core - Video

There’s not really much to say here… I mean, I dare you to show me a more obscure (to the average person) reference than Judge Space Core. The video, by the way, is absolutely fantastic — I couldn’t imagine a better video to watch this morning!
