500,000 Apps later - A infographic breakdown of Apple's App store

It’s been 3 years since Apple launched it’s world famous app store, and since then it has sold 500,000 apps, housed 90,000 developers, and expected to generate $14B in 2012. Everything is going according to plan, and Apple is paving the way for many more unique and innovative app stores, and providing meaty competition for Google’s Android Marketplace. Things couldn’t be better for Apple and app store developers, but wouldn’t it be nice to see how it all looks? I mean, there is a lot going on here, and it would be nice to see the stats of Apple’s app store as of today — now you can, thanks to this nifty infographic.

This robot can beat you at playing pool all day

There are so many robots in existence it’s ridiculous, and all of them seem to have their own charm. Some can dance, some can play instruments and some can plot the destruction of the world — but this robot is very different. This robot designed by Omiros Kourakos and Sandra Hirche can play a mean game of pool, and the pool que can be used by people too!

A look inside Google+ and everything that we love/hate

It was just a few days ago that Google officially announced it’s leap of faith into the social game, and of course it exploded into a whirlwind of speculation. “How would Google beat Facebook at their own game?”. That was the big question after the announcement, and after a short spurt of observation, I realized that people were already packing their bags, ready to jump the Facebook ship — but haven’t we seen this all before? And didn’t it all fail?

iTwin review

Have you ever wished you could magically transfer a file from one computer to another without a cable? With the iTwin, you can do just that. What looks like a dual ended flash drive is actually one with limitless capacity that can also move files between two computers using the Internet. But with services like Dropbox out and about, is the $99 price tag justified? — Our full review after the break!

Nintendo: "We won't be publishing Pandora's Tower, The Last Story, or Xenoblade in NA"

Well, so much for that — After a well engineered movement created by fans called Operation Rainfall, which was designed to bug Nintendo to the point of having to localize Japanese games Pandora’s Tower, The Last Story, and Xenoblade in North America, Nintendo has shot down any immediate possibilties of that happening in the near future. After thanking the fans for their support of the three titles they kindly replied with a affirmative “no”. — More after the break!

Why is European internet faster and less expensive? - Video

There was a time when “The Internet” was a baron land, filled with vast amounts of information and liturature, and it also allowed people to find new ways to communicate. Businesses popped up that offered people access to this wonderus world (some even for free), but since then it has turned into an ugly mess. Europ seems to have awesome broadband service… so why can’t we manage to do the same?

World of Warcraft is now free-to-play, that is until you hit level 20

Fresh off the heels of Valve’s decision to make their popular team-based shooter Team Fortress 2 a free to play experience, Blizzard has opted to do something kinda similar. With news back in May of World of Warcraft losing upto 600K accounts in a 3 year span, the new plan is to enforce a new trial method for newcomers to get into the experience. The world’s most popular subscription-based MMO will now become a free-to-play game, that is until you hit level 20. — Details after the break!
