Pogoplug Mobile review

One of the largest issues with new mobile devices is lack of storage space. With space hogging apps and games, you most likely don’t have enough space to fit all your media content. Rather than creating a mobile storage unit as a companion to your phone, Pogoplug has another solution - the Pogoplug Mobile. Designed for streaming content to iOS and Android devices, the Pogoplug Mobile is a server with unlimited storage. How exactly does it work? And more importantly, how well does it work? After spending a good amount of time with the device, we have an answer. — Our full review after the break!

Chrono Trigger is time traveling its way to iOS next month

Years ago, before games like Mass Effect and Skyrim basked in the spotlight, before games were rated on their polygons, voice-acting, and varying degrees of gameplay, the role-playing game genre was dominated by a company known as Square Enix. And while Eastern RPG’s have taken a back seat to our more innovative, Western developed titles (such as those mentioned at the top), you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who’s willing to say anything negative about Chrono Trigger — which just happens to be making its way onto iOS next week. — More after the break!

3DS - Super Mario 3D Land review

Mario’s always been known for bringing something new to the table with every major release we’ve seen on a console. The handheld department however, has always sorta just stayed with the 2D formula. And with the exception of NSMB, Mario games in the sense of running and jumping, haven’t always been that prevalent on mobile systems like the GBA or DS. But with 3D Land, we’re now venturing into the third-dimension, in a game that is a mix between everything we’ve come to love from just about every major Mario game — from Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario Galaxy. But does it have an identity of its own, or is it just a culmination of old ideas slapped together for profit? — Our full review after the break!

GameTrailers Montage shows their true colors -- (Video)

GameTraliers (and many other huge game review sites) are known for their strange choices in what makes good games good, and bad games bad. We’ve heard stories about their legitimacy and ethics, but this is just hilarious. We’re not saying it reflects their employees or writers in any way, we just think it’s funny to see how out of touch some people are.

The Rise of Minecraft -- (Infographic)

Minecraft has gone gold! Its final release version went live for download on Nov. 18th during the official Minecraft Convention in Las Vegas. And if you threw down the cash for the beta then you automatically get the full 1.0 version for freesies. Sounds like a sweet deal. But have you ever wondered how the game went from an independant project to a game that somehow rakes in about a million buclks each week? Well, then this infographic will get you up to speed, but watch out for zombies. — More after the break!

George Clooney and Noah Wyle competing for the role of Steve Jobs in the upcoming film

Just a few days shortly thereafter, maybe even hours after his death was confirmed, Sony was already negotiating for the rights to make a biopic on the life of Apple’s late CEO. And with production moving smoothly, the same guys who slapped together the Academy Award nominated Facebook film, The Social Network, will soon have to make up their mind on who gets to play the role of Steve Jobs. In the eyes of tech-enthusiasts, there’s only one clear choice and that’s Noah Wyle, who played Jobs in the made for tv movie Pirates of Silicon Valley. But now word on the street is it that George Clooney, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, would also like to throw his name in for consideration. — More after the break!

A fresh take on the design of Skype for Mac

Ever since of the inception of Skype for Mac, people have been slightly under whelmed with the design of the interface. Skype 5.0 Beta for Mac was a step in the right direction, but was a clumsy attempt to simplify the interface while keeping all of the functionality. It was in-consistent, blank and a little messy, but UI designer Daryl Ginn has taken a whack at it and we think he’s made something that could really work for the text iteration of Skype for Mac.
