Wolverine pirate gets 1 year of federal prison and we wonder if it was worth it

It’s been nearly two years to the day when we first reported news about Gilerbto Sanchez, a.k.a. the guy who uploaded the leaked, unfinished version of the Oscarworthy, Marvel masterpiece X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Well, the verdict has come and its been decreed upon this evil man who would dare share such a crappy movie with millions of would-be piraters, that he be given 1 full year in a federal prison. Dang, son! I wonder if Ryan Reynolds will visit him in the clink? — More after the break!

"Is your son a computer hacker?" Classic TechTV moment -- (video)

Where have the days gone? TechTV was a critical part of me becoming the geek-centered person I am today, and watching the Screen Savers nightly at 9PM before heading to bed for the night, mind you I was in middle school, was one of the greatest television programs to ever grace cable airwaves. Now bask in the glory that is Martin Sargent (and no, the old lady set as his Twitter avatar is not him)

Apple and Google secretly working on wearable gear, kinda like iPod nano watches

Turning the iPod Nano into a wearable watch may have been the first step into this new direction in Apple devices becoming the apparel of the future. Google is also hot on their heels, looking for ways to integrate wearable tech. This isn’t a far off notion as you might think considering for those who are tied to their smartphones and just can’t live without them — having them on your person at all times will make lugging around separate devices save time and also add a new definition to brand recognition. — More after the break!

Kingdom Hearts 3D gets new 8-min. Jump Festa trailer -- (Video)

For over half a decade we’ve been waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3, but Square’s other projects (namely, Final Fantasy Versus XIII) has kept the KH series on portable systems. That being said however, we’ve never been short changed in terms of quality gameplay or story advancement in these handheld titles. And if anything, while its plot continues to get even more complex, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is a testament to the amount of work these games gets due its large fanbase and continued success — especially with the inclussion of words from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Three Mousekateers, Tron: Legacy, and The World Ends With You.

Next Pokemon game goes feudal Japan with Nobunaga's Ambition

Doth my eyes decieve me or is Nintendo setting Pokemon in feudal Japan along with katana-weilding Samurai’s? But wait a minute, wait minute… this all seems too good to be true. And as you probably already guessed it, yes, it is too good to be true. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this isn’t the next major Pokemon RPG you’ve been waiting for all these years. In reality, this game is a cross over between the Japanese favorite real-time-strategy series, Nobunaga’s Ambition, and the cuddly pocket friends we love so much from Pokemon. Announced at the annual Jump Festa event in Japan, this spin-off title dubbed Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition (clever name) is set to release in Spring of 2012 in the region, with no word yet on a worldwide release. We have a trailer on the other side of the read more button.

How website speed affects traffic and revenue - Infographic

When building a website, one of the hardest things is trying to squeeze as much out of it, while at the same time keeping a small footprint. Every image, script, letter, icon, video and CSS file has to travel through wires across the globe to the user in a few seconds, and less time it takes the better. As the amount of time it takes for your site to load, the amount of people that leave increases exponentially. The following infographic is a good example as to why some sites perform well, and others don’t do so hot.
