Movie Review - Mystery Team

Isn’t dressing up with your friends and solving mysteries a cool thing to do when you’re a kid - Mystery Team is hilarious comedy by the guys over at Derrickcomedy.com, who happen to have a huge fan base over on Youtube because of shorts like The Spelling Bee and BroRape. Mystery Team, however, is a movie about three 18 year olds who think they are still 10, and so decide to solve mysteries. The three usually follow cases like, who stole the cookie, who ate the pie, or who stole a bike. This time the boys have to find out who killed a little girl’s parents so they can be taken seriously by their community.

Full review after the break!

Video Chat For The iPhone

Video Chat For The iPhone

We all knew it was coming but Jobs made it official. Of course Jobs picked a strange name to call it, FaceTime. Why not just call it iChat like it is on the Mac?

As of right now it’s Wi-Fi only and you can chat in Portrait and Landscape. It is also only iPhone to iPhone and it has to be the new iPhone 4.

Hopefully Skype later.

iMovie For The iPhone

iMovie For The iPhone

Not only can you now shoot 720P HD video at 30fps on your iPhone 4 you can also edit it. This is huge for the Youtube generation and any kid who loves to make short films with their friends.

This is incredible and has, in a way, put Apple into a new market competing against products like Flip.

Cost-$4.99

What to expect Monday at WWDC

You won’t be disappointed - These words were sent by Steve Jobs to Bryan Webster about WWDC. The event has huge buzz surrounding it because of the much anticipated iPhone 4G, which we happen to know already so much about thanks to Gizmodo. But that’s not all; the new iPhone OS will be launched with all of its features, as well as some other hidden goodies. I will go in depth with what are the possible and probable highlights of the show in what I expect to happen at year’s WWDC event.

Real Iron Man Suit

Real Iron Man Suit

If you have tried to build an Iron Man suit, it probably sucks compared to this one. Of course the weapons on the device do not work but who cares. It has the machine gun, opening and closing helmet, and it looks real!

This would sure be a great halloween costume!

Music Monday - Director Edition: Colin Tilley

Does anyone really know the man behind the camera - Everyone has seen music videos on MTV, VH1, and the almighty internet, but does anyone really know who makes the videos? For movies we know of people like Steven Spielberg and Spike Lee, but what about guys like Colin Tilley? The people who make those memorable and unique art pieces (you may know as music videos) that mesh with your favorite beats. Colin Tilley is one of the biggest and baddest music video directors/editors out there right now - you’ve probably seen his work, but you don’t even know it yet…

Google's New Video Codec WebM - Is it really needed?

WebM is a sad excuse to say screw you to Apple- I have been making movies, short films, and music videos since I was 6. I use all the most widely used programs and I know what video codecs look good and what doesn’t. H.264 has been the standard of video for a long time, and there is a codec for every type of situation and yet somehow there is another one now? Last time I checked video online was working smoothly and looks amazing with all the new HD cameras using H.264 and HTML5.
