Swappa - Buy and Sell Gently Used Android Devices

Most smartphone users buy their device with a two year contract and move on with their lives but if you’re really into phones, you’ll find yourself buying and selling a lot of devices online. The problem is, buying something like a phone online is really really risky. On eBay, you could easily pick up a phone that was stolen or has some sort irreparable damage the buyer is unwilling to talk about. INQ Cloud Touch, the first Facebook phone goes on sale in the UK

Facebook phones, ‘for when the app just isn’t enough’. That’s right, the first of many Facebook phones to come has gone on sale, with INQ’s Cloud Touch heading up retail in the United Kingdom. Making use of an Android based core with tween-infused skinning, the Cloud Touch brings a friendly Facebook-centric user interface to the smartphone.

Is RIM really going to supplement BlackBerry apps for Android?

A recent article on BGR suggests that Research in Motion will be looking to supplement its BlackBerry application store with Android based apps. As crazy as it sounds, this isn’t the first time sources close to the smartphone manufacturer have leaked information to the aforesaid popular blog. No, in fact, late last month BGR received a tip claiming that Android applications would make their way to RIM’s upcoming Playbook tablet. — More after the break!

Google confirms Ice Cream will bring Android 3.0 UI to smartphones

Google has received a lot praise for its work on Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb. With several design elements translating better to larger touch based devices, the company has continued to turn heads at Mobile World Congress thanks to the vast amount of tablets running said software. While Honeycomb may be for tablets, what of the smartphone? A recent article published on Phone Scoop, confirms that Google is indeed bringing parts of Honeycomb to smartphones through its next iteration of Android aka Ice Cream.
