Motorola Teases Android Tablet, Compares to iPad
In preparation of the Honeycomb tablet release, Motorola put out this video as a teaser. Dubbed “Tablet Evolution,” the video includes everything from the “durable” Ten Commandment tablets and “low resolution” Rosetta Stone to the “giant iPhone” iPad and “phone OS” Galaxy Tab. Then the screen slides on over to a hulking black stand with the Motorola logo on it.
Official Playstation App "Coming Soon" to iPhone and Android - EU Only for now, Suck it USA
Without doubt this is Sony’s reply to the Xbox Live intergration seen in the recent release of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform. Now we’re not sure exactly when this app is going to launch, but Sony’s been kind enough to explain some of the features we’ll see when it launches “soon” in Europe. Sorry, USA, but there’s no mention of when you’ll be getting it yet. — More details after the break!
Big Update comes to Facebook for Android
So, not to long ago I recommended F-Plus Facebook Tool for Android because it does somethings that the native app doesn’t do; like send you notifications when people comment on your status or respond to them. Well, guess what those sneaky fellows under Mr. Zuckerberg did? They enabled Push Notifications that do exactly that. Also, you can now use Facebook Chat, directly from the native app. How cool is that?
It seems they are seeing what 3rd party apps are doing and slowly integrating those features into the official app. If you ask me, they should’ve been there in the first place.
Now before you run to the Market and download with glee, understand push notifications will only work on Android devices running Froyo. So if your device is still running Eclair (2.1 or lower), then you won’t be getting the push notification goodness but you should still be able to use Facebook Chat.
App Review - F-Plus Facebook Tool for Android
By now we are all familiar with the shortcomings of the Facebook for Android app. One big shortcoming is the notifications. How much does it suck to only be able to get notifications for messages, friend requests and Event invites? And then, the only options you have for refresh intervals are 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours and never. That’s an Epic Fail if I ever saw one. Enter F-Plus Facebook Tool, a tool that makes the Facebook for Android app do what it should’ve done in the first place.
What does it do?: You finally get notifications for things you actually care about. You know, notifications for comments, likes and messages. And you get to choose intervals less than 30 minutes, check out photo albums for yourself and friends and even has Facebook Places support. Also, it’s very easy to tag people in photos and leave comments on them as well. The only thing I’m not impressed with is the widget. i almost wish it wasn’t there in comparison to the quality of the overall product.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread confirmed for Samsung Galaxy S devices
After a recent Pocket-Lint interview with Samsung, many were left in a haze of uncertainty as to whether or not their Galaxy S device would recieve Google’s latest iteration of the highly popular Android OS — Gingerbread. However, according to the official India Samsung Mobile Twitter account, the Galaxy S line will receive the inevitable Android 2.3 Gingerbread update sometime in the future. There’s no word on a confirmed release date, but that news should excite those with a Galaxy S device, well, at least until the actual update drops.

Google Nexus S commercial - Stare endlessly at peoples feet
If there was such a thing as an “interestingly awful” commercial, this would take the prize. Google’s new Nexus S commercial is interestingly awful because 90% of the time spent is staring at peoples feet, and only a few times do you get a glimpse at the device. We had no clue what was going on but oddly enough, I really liked the the ad overall — if it were for a shoe commercial that is…
